30/5/2014 13:20 | Back into auction again. Maybe we are about to jump to 70p+.... I can dream! Nice to see a sustained rise, been so much doom and gloom here for the last 12 months. | diggulden
30/5/2014 13:13 | Most stocks do when they go up over 10%, I've been surprised the often Iofina hasn't. Maybe we've grown up and are playing with the big boys now???? ;-) | woodpeckers
30/5/2014 13:09 | why has it suddenly gone into auction? | phoenixs
30/5/2014 12:52 | Che, not sure you were around for the early moves from 40 but it is the same. Dropped like a stone on OM and L&G selling. Going up in a similar fashion now we have some big boys buying. | king_roster_iii
30/5/2014 12:41 | Well what do we think of the last Numis note now...wonder what they think of it...hope it has been put in the bin like all the rest they produced for iof! | awolagain
30/5/2014 12:32 | Che No need to try and convert me on mispriced I've been a mild supporter (lol) on iof for some time. The iodine business is niche and as predicted Chile is now going through the trouble phase we predicted 2 years ago. It was all forecast. Thus if someone could enter the business with better economics then it would be a winner. Iodine is scarce commercially, so it's unlikely anyone else near term will get involved. The market is too small, but for those with the best capex/opex model then it could be lucrative. Chile (near 60% of world supply) ARE now suffering and it looks like it will get worse. Had IOF progressed in the manner they forecast, then the share would like like a sure fire winner about to be approached by the big players. The stutters and trip wires came, but now the phase is hopefully proof of larger scale production. Once that is proven then it seems with the backing/finance they could become a dominant producer. There is no scenario with any credibility that could demonstrate how Chile producers can take the price down and make a profit. I suspect the likes of Bullmine are probably on losses at the moment. Chile opex going up and IOF opex looks set to go down over the next year. With the CHIP thread (brilliant imo) it shows all in costs for the gold miners per oz, and it becomes obvious which ones to invest in and which to avoid. Prices on the AIM for anyone not making profit are technically all way ahead of themselves. Some seem to be on stupid prices with naff all of a business imo. | superg1
30/5/2014 12:30 | What date in June did Mr Big mention, I know it was a specific day he posted but can't find it, wonder if it's been deleted? | freshvoicem
30/5/2014 12:29 | Well it certainly moving up considerably - into the 60s | tomboyb
30/5/2014 12:27 | King, It used to do this! It may be a fund, but it's too fast, it might well be a joint venture or something significant to do with the business, certainly the strength is there. Always worth going with the flow, AGM shortly could coincide with something significant? | che7win
30/5/2014 12:22 | Che, this is unlike anything we have seen for a year. Definitely a fund buying in. Let's hope it's a fund anyway! | king_roster_iii
30/5/2014 11:55 | I would look to the yen for an explanation? | freshvoicem
30/5/2014 11:53 | The character of this stock IOF tends to do this, it sits for a while and then moves up relentlessly. Of course, there might be major news, maybe a partner coming on board, a JV or something else, who knows. | che7win
30/5/2014 11:49 | Superg, It was mispriced, the teething problems we had were not insurmountable, certainly shouldn't have taken us so low, panic helped. Reality is setting in, like a coiled spring we are moving back to a fairer valuation. Market expects some goodies coming up to the AGM, I've heard the business is moving forward on all fronts, so bodes well. | che7win
30/5/2014 11:44 | The elliot wave lot say wave A done and alerts out re that with the next wave peak at £1.29. I wish lol. But....... what the scooby is going on ??? | superg1
30/5/2014 11:38 | 250k out of the way, now we move up. | che7win
30/5/2014 11:31 | Broken past 60p - | tomboyb
30/5/2014 10:54 | How do you arrive at 69p? I checked with the goat's entrails and they did not know. | joestalin

LOL | roger melly | |

30/5/2014 10:24 | Water As the topic has popped up I did a bit of digging. I can find nothing in the courts system in Montana to show IOF/Atlantis are listed for 3rd June or any other day. On that basis I suggest the hearing date is not yet set. Feel free to browse yourselves to try an identify when it will be | superg1
30/5/2014 10:20 | Wizard I recall a watfrod electronics guy going in about the World wide web (something like that) and that I should get in sharpish business wise (silly sod). Then the guy that tried to get me into mobile phone security and fraud and went on about some companies called vodaphone and orange that he thought would take the market in the UK over and above the one he was with (silly sod mobile phones pah). Should have known really as he was working alongside one of the industry guru's (Charles Brookson). You live and learn. But on the trading front, I bet there are a ton of traders now who bought in the 40's ran for the door in the late 40's, some early 50's and it has kept going. Very unlike trading patterns of recent months, where buying any selling created 15% swings over the day. It's a right head-scratcher. There are many aspects to IOF. I have noted the odd bit of oil drilling interest around IOF but Montana exploration are small, but then their link to the unknown private company is Comet. Then the comet connection covers $5 billion of interest. I'm not suggesting for a minute there is anything going on re the comet connections, but it just shows the things that can be uncovered when you dig deep enough. | superg1
30/5/2014 09:47 | sold my small amount of shares from last 2 weeks ago, made 40%, really happy. wished i'd piled in now! i hope it keeps going up for everyone else, i see some more mileage, next resistance is at 69p | dr_ex
30/5/2014 09:40 | Superg you can't imagine what life was like without internet. When I started investing for pension funds in the early 70's we had 'key and lamp' phones and had to wait while the broker went to the jobber to get a price. No real computers until Datastream started and prices came over a tape. What we did have was real fundamental analysis and that is why a 40% price rise over 5 days worries me but then again if you want stability stay away from AIM. Fundamentally Mr Big is right - this is a small co that has a proven technology that effectively turns a problem into a profit. You have to worry about its seeming dependence on Lance but as a LTH I believe that the company is fundamentally undervalued | wizard2020
30/5/2014 09:38 | Ok - no more references to water. FTTB | joestalin |
