Agree 400Mt is part of LB's kitchen sinking ahead of management changes!
So fingers crossed we get more than 400mt.

Once they confirm they have restored the brine supply to plants 3 to 5 this should fly back up especially with increased brine supplies post fracking.

Their capacity to produce iodine with 6 plants is excellent
Their 1st line in today's results shows it
"Completed construction and commissioning of the IO#2 and IO#3 iodine extraction plants based on the Group's WET(R) IOsorb(TM) Technology, achieving a tenfold increase in production capacity compared to unaccompanied IO#1 capacity at year end 2012"

In 2012, IOF#1 capacity was 50MT so a tenfold increase with addition of plants 2 + 3 in 2013 means plants 1 to 3 have a 500mt capacity.

With Lance back hopefully they will soon restore the brine supply and optimise their plant capacity to its full potential

Help please re Numis note: is their target price reiterated at 156??

Another very good sign here is that IOF and NUmis are now working together in contrast to the mess up when they first came on board.

Calmar 20045: yes this is v important. Also agree with your $25 per kilo as a good working figure.

Neddo, like my IOF holding, Llandudno is grim, overcast, yet a there is a little ray of sunshine peeping through.

calmar: Imo the price of iodine will be significantly higher in H2 2014, when various Chile effects are factored in, and when the bulk of IOF's 2014 iodine will be sold.

Che: 8p next year? do you mean 2014? Would have thought that 2015 earnings would be higher than this.

Think 400Mt is part of LB's kitchen sinking ahead of management changes and personally expect better.

Great baseline established to-day. Expect a flow of good news in coming weeks and a positive AGM which will be carefully scheduled and orchestrated.

I do think people haven't quite clicked on the significance of the production costs being released instead of people just speculating over costs. This is the first time they've released figures, proving that they are the industry's lowest cost producer of a huge world wide useful commodity and they have patented technology.

Agree a possible 4-5 bagger in 12 months... and in 3 years???

Festario - you've hit the nail on the head there about FACTS.

Management need to wake up and stop with the smoky / elusive / under the radar RNSs.

We need hard facts so that we can make informed investment decisions.

Calmar1992,
spot on, glad someone is looking at the figures and opportunity this price presents.

I think they can do 8p next year, This could be a 5 bagger for buyers today IMHO

Some maths:Q1 = 47mt with 400 target for 2014. = 353 mt in remaining 3 quarters. 353/(3/4) is a run rate of 470mt pa at year end. Assuming production will be greater in q3 and q4 due to io6 being online we can say end of year run rate of 500mt. Taking $25 cost per kg (and $45 as market price) as rough guidance of costs in 7 months. Then 500000*(45-25) = $10m =£6m (no tax as it's offset) at a pe ratio of 20. (Fair for an AIM company) that is £120m mkt cap = £1 per share.Hence IF we hit the target of 400mt in 2014 I expect us to be back at £1 for new year. Also with 2015 we will have money for more plants, there will be less fracking disruption plus possibility of water, so £1 could be easily exceeded if credibility in the management has restored. Whether we hit the target is one thing with iofina. But I have a lot more faith now lance is running the ship once more. (This is great exam revision procrastination)

Thanks Festario - I saw this I think last year at £2.30 to £2.50p - so considering that there has been progress although the RNS the other set this further down - I saw it as a punt at these levels - better at 30p than over £1 -

I think there's a clear target of around 50p here... maybe not in the next few days but soon...Just the IP has to be worth a quid per share IMO, with 20 years to run in the USA and already lodged in Japan and Chile... surely one of the bigger world producers, mindful that market prices are likely to increase, and looking to take us over, wouldn't blink at 200p per share?? They may have been hoping for a cheap takeover if we were in serious trouble, but today's RNS puts that fear to bed IMO.No advice intended

Well we were top of the losers board a couple of days ago with a 56% fall rhwillcoll, so we have a bit of a way to go yet! A 50% fall requires a 100% recovery to get back to square 1. But a definite feeling that we are out of the storm here.

I topped up with a few more 'iodocoins' yesterday at 27.5. mainly because I thought they would look good on the mantle piece at the side of my top up on Tuesday for 58.6 as well as my top ups at 61.5, 64.3 and (god help me!) 76p. I have become so innured to the price falling every time I top up I can't really get used to the fact I may actually have called it right for once!

TomboyB, welcome aboard. In all fairness, NONE of us understand the business sufficiently, because if we did we would not be sat on the colossal losses that we are. However, given the situation, we ARE a going concern. That is a massive relief, and we are able to step back now in order to assess what has happened and will happen.Unlike before when the price was flying up on a daily basis, there will no be much caution and many milestone points at which to pause and make a 'sensible' investment decision. We are all learning from our mistakes.Mine was to get sucked into a hype on an industry I knew little about. Another was to 'assure' loved ones that there money would be safe alongside mine. Now, I am neither buying nor selling... until I feel confident we are getting FACTS. They have been very elusive this last 12 months.

Decent post Scrut - the shareprice is where it was at two years ago and that was when we were all waiting for IO1 to be built!

The foundations are now in place - just need Lance to clear out the dead-wood and get the engines started!

Thanks for the reply qpr, i'll assume $28/kg is opex and quite happy with that for now under the less than optimal conditions.
