monkeymagic, agreed with your 2nd para.
We are all entitled to pour own views and I respect yours, but I believe that all this did not happen on Lance's watch. It began to fall apart under the watchful guidance of our eminent Chris Fay and George Lantz in their wonderful world world of delegation, keep ones eyes and ears closed, hope for the best and then deny that they are responsible if everything goes up in smoke (they would of course have taken the credit if all had gone well)! They are the ones who took us to the edge of the cliff. Lance has obviously returned as Chairman, asked some pertinent questions and in a few days got the answers which have not made pleasant reading.
Let us see what happens in the next few weeks etc. Then pass judgement.

Nelly

Seems obviously now but someone mentioned the point. In Spring drilling goes mad in all states, then tails off in the Autumn. I suspect those are with Chesapeake.

Io2 went through this cycle. In OK the produced water is sufficiently clean to re-use, so Chesa would tap into the pipelines to take water for fracking, that's where the disruption kicks in. Following Chesa drill action in the area will show when section is done. The end result with all those wells going in, will be a lot of water going to SWDs.

IOF will need to bridge the gap while the fracking goes on, io2 is a great site so with the organ grinder in charge it should look good once more.

obbig60. Institutions/large buyers very often strike deals within the spread. Been watching for a while and it appears that what is being offered is being hoovered up. MM's offering much less now and bids are much stronger.

thanks superg, i think someone emailed the share disposal question to the company a few days ago. 2nd question - i presume the siting of IOF3, 4, 5 and 6 will come good with the supply of brine in the long term? are these plants, at the moment dependant on only one oil company? Surely iof would have gained a good relationship with the oil company or companies to know their current and future plans - before spending lots of money on plants that are now going to stand idle for a while?

Malachey - having difficulty matching your post with what ADVFN are saying right now:
Buys - 827,152
Sells -1,101,854
Unknowns - 1,283,514 ( all at no. 370 )
A curiously high proportion of unknowns (exactly half way betweewn bid/offer). Can anyone shed light on this?

That's an odd prediction - they were up +10% when you posted. Do you have some knowledge I've missed or is it just a guess?

nelly loose stuff but suggestion of a big chunk into non profits, someone did mention the Baller foundation (something like that)so feasible.

Also mention he did inform the nomad etc. A question for the AGM perhaps of some feel they want an answer re why no notification etc. But I'm sure the nomad was aware of some of the disposal.

Phoenix you can go long on don't fancy you in the slips :-)

Re arrons silence. I was thinking last night how strange it was, even in the circumstances.I concluded he must be up to something. Maybe negotiations for a convertable loan or such like, maybe a private placing?Something has definitely happened to cause the silence, so I just took a small top up at 24.19p to hedge..... Hmm we will see.

I haven't read through many of the 300 odd posts since yesterday so apologies if I am repeating some.
One thing is for sure the current management have made a enormous mess of a fantastic company. It seems to get even more ridiculous by the day. I cannot think of a single good decision that has been made since Lantz took over. And surely his days must be numbered. Even thing like moving the 6th plant late last year to a position where it is now useless. Two weeks ago, 4 and 5 were commencing full operation, now one is switched off (and I dont for a second expect it to be switched on this year, power is just convenient excuse) and the other barely working. There will be a minimum flow rate to these large plants to make them operationally efficient so the suggestion of low bpm been trucked in is just simply not going to work. If it is designed for 30k bpd then the minimum will be 15-20k. You cant just switch them on and off like a computer. Also like many of us they have had too many eggs in one basket and have paid the priced when they haven't delivered. Spreading the plants around and having a blend of fixed and mobile plants would have given a much more balanced portfolio, all hindsight of course.I dont want to list them, but the lack of details in any RNS meant the writing really was on the wall.

Unfortunately I was not around yesterday so still have my shares....what to do with them....

My opinion is this.....The concept - low production, high margin iodine, in a market with increasing cost and demand, and a decreasing resource from chile etc is brilliant. The technology works, and for that I have no doubt there is alot of money to be made. BUT, Will IOF be the company to make that money? or will they simply go bust and someone else pick up the assets? That is the gamble at the moment.
My gut is that there is a financing deal around the corner, and that is because I believe there is a reason this has been cut out of the full year results. Why would you release 3 terrible RNS's in 4 days? (although I would not put it past George!). If this is wrong then I expect bye bye IOF.
The full year results, should reveal if this is (via cash flow) is critical situation or just bad. At this point i hope (pray?) that Lance can halt this slide.

Tomorrow I expect as a minimum, a full clear explanation about what has gone on and what they plan to do about this going forward. Furthermore, director buys are a MUST, if they wont buy at 25p it says it all.

Final point, re. Mr. Big - I have no idea why everyone is expecting him to come and explain himself on here.... He owes you nothing, you owe him nothing. I would guess he is as annoyed as us at this situation, is probably chasing up Fay et al, and his broker to decide what to do. Coming on a bulletin board will be and quite rightly, bottom of his list of things to do, especially as his is on holiday.
