Easter hols and the weather has been good here so have not been so involved and anyway the only really material news for me was this morning so have not read all posts. I was glad of the fall down to 50p as I now have a much larger holding. I've also been adding some more income shares on this last dip and had to mull over an offer from Lloyd's for a lot of ECNs I hold. I still find this the most interesting share I've held for many years. I'm sticking to my 4p eps for this year (although with all this talk of a poor Q1 we may struggle now) and 7.7p eps for next on the info I currently have (although I would like to be surprised to the upside on that) so I expect to almost double my money from here within 18 months. I've never counted water as I have never thought the rights would be granted, although I would really love to be wrong on it if not just to see how they develop it.

I'm not as convinced Lance will bring as much as people say, although he does have the current team to temper the enthusiasm.

I am also surprised at the £10-£20 forecasts that are being made again. We are at a third of the price I last saw these type of figures. Even with the 50% gain we have had we are at levels we were at less than a month back when people were all gloom and doom. I agree with Che (a person whose posts I do check) that the fall shouldn't have occurred but I'm glad it did from a selfish point of view.

There is a great book called Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman that goes through some of this type of psychology that I would recommend to anyone.

Off to plant some flowers now.

alpha - always remember it works both ways, lots have disappeared who were talking it up too, how many lost money listening to them at £1.50 and above?
I hope SG and others don't take offence as they are still here but the imbalance works both ways, it makes the market work.
I concede those shouting it down are generally less pleasant though, but in fairness to Netley for example, he seemed to drink, posted some damn good music links but also stimulated some good discussion and called the price spot on in his timeframe...

Well worth a read re Chile and perhaps a tip to look at anyone venturing into Peru.

Even Investec comment about how rough it is in Chile. Perhaps we helped them understand Chile through being connected with IOF.

Chile boom major fund analysts were saying buy the bubble. PIs were saying avoid it, after finding mounting power, water and rising cost issues.

Frog where are you. No posts for 10 days ???

No posts since the turn and Mr big appeared. Just curious.

Oh you have to understand my humour re my last line of my previous post.

Many here (excluding me) trade IOF and have had fun guessing on entry and exit points in recent days.

So having watched them do exactly that this morning, I couldn't resist and it is a genuine thought process after a bit of work.

Could slip on times, no idea how long they would paw over it, but in the meeting other bits were clearly signed off immediately.

So could be today for all we know, 1 week or 2 months.

Could be a good call if it's going to a hearing, could be a doh if it's positive. But more importantly, it's fun dropping that point in. Hence I stay clear of trading.

Isn't it funny how all those nice people – Shonny, maca, Major Dome, the butler, who kept telling us they had our best interests at heart and Iofina was doomed, seem to have disappeared. How many listened to their lies and sold on the way down and have lost money I wonder?

As I posted at the time Simon C took a bet on their bail out BS and he was listening to the wrong folk. Ennis closed while he was opening his mmmmmmmm.

There is no honour .......................

However SC did make quite a powerful comment re management.

In other words he sees no issue with the business model, only the drivers that were behind it. Then he heard the team were strong. At that point he closed his position.

Hence he is not a backward looking fellow but relies on future prospects.

The bear argument for other shares in more recent times, is far more in-depth and complicated with a mix of fundamental issues raised no matter what team is in charge.

So SC just said great business model with the right team and delivery.

Results will be disappointing v what was forecast a year ago, but with 6 large plants in play, it's a big step forward from the lows, when there were no plants.

Water news to come timing unknown but 2 weeks ago I heard they could be looking at it in 1 to 2 weeks, with no more meetings just a decision, that could slip as we know, but for now it doesn't seem the wait will be lengthy for a decision either way.

Good news about Lance.I'm really pleased to have played this right so far.. Bought a load at 50p exactly, and have T-traded some more on the way up to add 40% free shares to my holding.Very unusual for me to call it so well, I hasten to add! :-oOnwards and upwards in the coming months hopefully... personally my target is 200p in the next 12 months if all goes to plan...NAI

I know – Poundland.
