So now we know how Mr Market feels about Dr Fay!

With regard to the water permit, it is not a question as to whether IOF feel that they have delivered the goods but does Montana agree. There will, presumably, be a process for the board to go to before awarding the permit. However, fingers crossed, the prospects of success seem better than was the case earlier. And, I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed, but no guarantees!

Mr. Lantz continued: "We are extremely pleased to welcome Bill to the Board. He brings with him a wealth of engineering experience and deep pool of knowledge of process technology. We are very confident he will help to steer the Company to even greater success."

"..deep pool of knowledge..."

Good to see someone in the IOF IR Dept with a sense of humour - and timing.
LOL indeed.

Great news and also good budget so I will be able to tuck a few more of these little beauties away in an ISA in April and July...

Ok lets be clear the reason CF has gone is because he doesn't have to buy an annuity, he is of retirement age after all. I have always thought it an impediment to IOFs progress that we have a hands off Chairman in the UK when all the action and effort are going on in the USA. How many times have we seen announcements which should have moved the share price up but it has done so fleetingly and fallen back. Each time we console ourselves with its de-risked the company and underpinned the share price I think we will look back on today as a turning point. Fresh its still in the post.

Not nice to see a price rise on retirement, but obviously the interest is more to do with the pointer re the new guy arriving.

Early in the day, but there are around 4m shares short, closing is - it would seem - becoming problematical: up >4p on just 238k traded.

Again early but we no longer seem to have a seller.

Let's see where we are by close of play.

Best wishes - Mike

All we know is that IOF had a meeting with the bureau and aspects were signed off.

Next thing we know, a guy with huge experience in the water industry appears.

For the water permit, surely the Montana Water Board would have stated what was required in the revised letters of intent. Iofina would surely know if they have now delivered what was required.

Was "Bill" one of the engineering consultants on the project? If so he will surely be well up to speed with everything to drive this forward once the permit is awarded!

CH2M is a global player, huge resources, these boys are the business. I am now very excited about the water prospects and our new found ability to maximise shareholder value.
I am feeling positive today, with this great news and the simplification of pensions. May have a quick top up for the SIPP.

Noli 69 days after the resignation date.

Time for some more golf. Being the UK based Bod I imagine his phone has driven him nuts in recent months.

Such matters are frowned upon, in golf course and affect the handicap.

Will the market like it I wonder, or more to the point, will the market put two and two together re: water.

It's Chris Fay's 70th birthday on the 4th April so I'm guessing this was planned for a while. I like that they say "he leaves us on strong footing." and that they "look forward to engaging with him in the future as a shareholder of the Company" reinforcing that he is not leaving on bad terms.

Re the appointment of Bill Bellamy, nice unsubtle hint! :-)

I'm slightly perplexed at the sudden resignation before a replacement is found.it would imply the board have lost confidence in Chris Fay or has he found the recent journey too demanding AKA Lance.
Announcing a new non exec in same RNS will hopefully soften market reaction.
