Scrutable,

The share price is where it is because many of the targets set by management themselves were not met and therefore all the previous rns were misleading or incorrect regarding timelines, production etc. Stop blaming shorters, MM manipulation etc.

Poor frog,

jettisoned for asking some pertinent questions. very unfair and testament to this boards moderator behaving like Kim Jong Un.

Look at IOF from the PoV of 2 years down the line, 15+ plants in operation plus mini plants. Todays price is historically close to bargain levels when you consider the untapped potential. Also dont be too hard on IOF or the management. They have achieved a lot and created a vast potential that they are on the verge of successfully exploiting. Every company and every project runs late and usually over budget. Thats exactly how business life is.

95% or so are today of one mind : they have been mislead

- but have they?

This is becoming an uncivilised, angry, lynch crowd, complaining in effect that the shorting has been successful.

Borrowing shares that the shorters did not have and selling shares fictitiously however legal, that they did not own, and creating a false impression that more owners believed the company was a poor investment than those who did not.

However legal this may be, it has created a false market. That has turned down, when every investor expected it to turn up; because the process itself is increasingly validated, and the company is increasingly profitable with high margins.

The result has been incomprehension, anger, and a desperate search for scapegoats.

Now we have the lynch mob, and the agitators amongst them stoking up the misapprehensions, and the fury, reminiscent of the poll tax days.

It's not a pretty sight.

Nothing claimed for the company's business model, its product, its operating
costs, its technology, is discredited. I believe that the company will make the huge margins forecast for it. The roll out schedule has been consciously set back to profit from the higher prevalence of iodine in Oklahoma., We were consequently 6-9 months behind throughout 2013, and if anything are less so today, should I#O4/5 reach full production by April, and IO#6 by June.

Do the sums yourselves. They come to £20-£30m/pa by end 2014. What's that worth today from a company doubling revenues and conceivably trebling profits annually?

A few times more than today's share price.

I already stated the reason why the share price is where it is and I acknowledged that. Jeez keep up!

Hi Dorset - are you invested here?

I've had IFO on my watchlist for a few weeks but have not been tempted to take any position so far. Looking at a a possible future entry point in due course since I think that there is good long term potential but management have a credibility issue to address here too in my view.

Excellent post - Price action certainly would suggest (to me at least) a very leaky ship OR someone doing their own reseach.

Off track: When(in the view of the tick boxers at the FSA does reseach become insider trading ??/ (This is a general question and not just this share specific.)

Around this time last year, I had, perhaps naively, believed that IOF would be rolling out a new plant every six weeks or so, and the capex would be recovered within a short couple of months. Rinse and repeat. That rose-tinted view has slowly been scaled back and today I (at least hope) have a clearer picture of what's going on. The end point remains the same but the time to get there is going to be a few years longer. I remain fully invested, but bitterly disappointed at today's RNS.

GDL Posts from Jackabite in September when their shareprice was 26p !

Jackabite - 27 Sep'13 - 1149: I agree 36p is very cheap and it will do a lot more than that!!

Jackabite - 27 Sep'13 - 1153: I can see this going up significantly over the next few months!

Jackabite - 27 Sep'13 - 1158: I don't think it will be too long before we are longer priced in pennies but priced in £'s

GDL shareprice today is 13p - DOWN by 50%

When it comes to his attacks on the thread author here as a ramper then one can only say:

The only hope for investors deeply underwater is a takeover by one of our competitors - with the current SP, this will be good value for the new owners even at £1.50

Watching L2 throughout the morning.
I am now seeing, for the most part, steady buying from the Offer.
In addition PEEL and WINS have been willing to take sellers shares from the Bid.
Could all change of course.

Well said RH, Good company, excellent prospects, over reaction by the market just for a change. Storms pass. Let them be judged going forward.

That is correct and well said. So why the need for superpooh to ram it down everyone's throat?

Question? will you sleep well tonight?

josh,

yes, had drilling not been curtailed due to the customers and GDG court case GDL would have had a record breaking year. Had the slow down not happened I have no doubt that a listing on the SGX would have went ahead as planned, Indian expansion would have happened sooner and £1 may have been achievable.

These things happen but it's still most definatley on the cards but a bit later than initially thought. We are now possibly 6-9 months behind schedule.

Apologies for the off topic guys.

Yes, superpooh has conned people imo. I have never been ball deep in Randeep but should that situation ever arise I could be tempted as I am a great believer in trying everything once.

Actually, I really rate this company, their board and their management. To have developed a novel method of extracting iodine, at the lowest cost in the world, and to have created almost total barriers to entry, and then to go on to successfully commercialise all this, is a fantastic achievement. I also highly rate IOF's integrity. The only negative from my perspective has been the company's over-optimism in speed of roll-out and production: a "timing issue". I am - and remain - fully invested and fully paid-up. Also, I trust that we will never blame the messenger(s), especially superg1. This guy is full of integrity, and of respect for others. I trust that we will continue to accord that same respect to him.

Jackabite, were you not touting GDL at £1 by end of the year?

Superg hasn't 'conned' anyone, he has done the research provided a backlog of references. Now go back to being balls deep in Randeep :)

The point of research is to know whether you are invested in a company that has all the attributes necessary to grow successfully over time, ie you can sleep at night knowing that whatever may happen to the share price short term, the company will become successful. And the research on this thread is far better than most.
