25/7/2013 17:31 | Water may not feature near term - if you read the rights appropriations booklet and the paragraph at the bottom of the actual application, it states the department tries to grant preliminary determination within 120 days of the application being deemed complete and correct. As far as I can see we are still at the deficiency response stage - I appreciate the website probably lags behind but without a clear date for the application being correct and complete I think even a few weeks is optimistic. | durden82
25/7/2013 17:12 | I'm not so sure IOF was overvalued at over two quid - at that point we were all expecting news on water very soon and that the share price would get a serious rerate. Although superg was saying he would prefer a slower rise when it was verging towards 250, I also recall him saying that he would eat his hat if it wasn't three quid by June or something. This isn't a dig at superg, it's just saying that what you decide to value into a share or not value in is very subjective (I think at the time superg was expecting water to be approved a bit sooner). It's not so much that people were right or wrong in their valuations, it's that people are right or wrong in their underlying assumptions (which is, I guess, why superg always stresses "subject to rollout" for the iodine). It's probably good that people are downgrading their expectations a bit (which is what CF is trying to help us do as well - I think he's doing a fine job, he's probably putting in very long hours for a job that he's only standing in for - no-one likes to be in this situation. I wouldn't knock him!), at least in terms of time scales, which IOF (and virtually all AIM companies) have been quite bad at. Doesn't stop me dreaming though :-) I'm still convinced everything planned will happen sooner or later and that sooner or later current share prices will be history (ie, the share price will become substantially higher). I can't say what will happen between now and then, though! And I always hope, like everyone I guess, for sooner. And I could be wrong. About everything! | ![]() madchick
25/7/2013 16:44 | Sam at Iof responded to my recent email and advised that he's "advocating for a release in the near future in regards to a production update as well as information regarding future sites and potential future sites". | ![]() joeywald

25/7/2013 16:01 | Bobby, no idea. As I said before, depends on how much of a delay the deficiency letter had on proceedings, for which we have no idea. I have personally set mid-late August for prelim approval. Nick, we will see. I just can't see the reason why it hasn't happened yet, not unless they are looking to provide a multi update all at once about Iodine, Water and patents. Who knows, I am not too concerned, as long as IO3 is online by end of Sept and IO4 following by end of Nov, that is enough progress for me. | ![]() diggulden
25/7/2013 15:34 | Digg, Sam at IOF did confirm that the patent application would be RNS'd when confirmation was received - I specifically asked the question. | ![]() nicklad1968
25/7/2013 15:30 | Engelo That's when thy mend the site, I monitor it daily and it was still down today. | freshvoice
25/7/2013 15:24 | bobbys: that's how I understand it, with the 45 days public comment period (regarded as a formality in a capitalist society) following. Afaict the permit application website will show the changed status so it will become public knowledge whether or not IOF choose to RNS it. | engelo
25/7/2013 15:12 | Digg, so we are waiting for preliminary approval 28th July(ish)? | ![]() bobbyshilling
25/7/2013 15:11 | SDI - Medical tools sector Results out yesterday and two of directors buy stock. The new CEO has turned around the company and now looking for growth. Their new ProReveal technology - for which I'm invested - has the 1st mover advantage both in the UK and internationally. Have a look: Nick | ![]() nick2008

25/7/2013 15:06 | Bogg1e, if you look at the permit application process on the DNRC website (site is down at the moment), you will see a deficiency letter was sent, can't remember when it was but it was raised on this BB so if you do a search for 'deficiency' you will see the timescales. Quite common for these to be sent when small adjustments need to be made to the application, in this case I believe it was a query with a water ROW (right of way) that was quickly resolved by Iofina. As I said before, there has been no official update on this but I remember it being addressed at the time. | ![]() diggulden
25/7/2013 14:59 | "deficiency letter"? could you pls explain? Tia. | ![]() bogg1e
25/7/2013 14:46 | Bobby, once given prelim approval, there is then a further 45 days to be published in the local paper, providing no objection is raised, then there will be a further unspecified amount of time until full approval given. What is unclear is what delay the deficiency letter that was sent will have on things. I assume that IOF responded immediately and remember seeing some comms from SG saying Lance had it under control, but never had any official confirmation from the company on that. | ![]() diggulden
25/7/2013 14:41 | news will come when it comes, which could be anytime, from now until..? relax and enjoy the weather. forget the daily shenanigans. its still a fantastic prospect | jointer13
25/7/2013 14:26 | Regarding water, is there another 45 days after 28th July, for public notification, and any objections to be raised, or is that time included in the 'up to 28th July'? | ![]() bobbyshilling
25/7/2013 14:00 | Boggle, I wouldn't expect any water update in the near future in my opinion, certainly not by 28th July. I would think more likely the next we will hear will be an update in the H1 results. All IMO of course. IO2 new brine, IO3 progress and CEO are the ones I am looking for near term. Also not sure we are going to get this patent RNS, as surely that much have been achieved by now, so if it were to be RNS's, I would think it would have happened by now. I think Lance not being at the forefront has changed things in terms of investor communications. Up, you raise a good point, expectation is massive here. I am happy however that the share price looks more realistic now than it did when we were valued as a £300 Mill company. Solid progress through the rest of the year on IO3,4,5 and maybe 6 will do for me, with a steady rise through to year end. | ![]() diggulden
25/7/2013 13:51 | EWCT i thought the drilling as 'pad' drilling, which i think is only 6 wells to be drilled before the pad is moved onward and the old wells come back online....i think. | ![]() bogg1e
25/7/2013 13:47 | Yer getting the hang of it EWCT, one of the few. | n3tleylucas
25/7/2013 13:44 | If the oilies are on a new well drilling program and for safety reasons the brine stream from existing wells is locked down until all wells have been drilled. IO#2 brines still not hooked up is more than likely to be the real picture. Which is probably why there hasn't been any news yet. I would suggest that until there is News to the contrary then it's safer to assume the status quo. This being the case will inevitably have an impact on the overall production figures for IO#2 EWCT | everybodywangchungtonight
25/7/2013 13:32 | We all want an update and i think that the above 2/3 things will be what is mentioned. Whether they give out ppms etc, we can only hope. IO#3 is not scheduled for completion til the end of september so to say that all is going well isnt huge but helpful. | ![]() bogg1e
25/7/2013 13:25 | AAAAAhhh !!!! The 'imminent' word again. Means anytime up to 12 months in IOF speak. Uppompeii is quite correct - all the 1000's of calcs here mean diddly squat until confirmation of IO1/ IO2 etc. I hope they don't put the village idiot on the RNS. | ![]() eeza |
