Hey guys, no need for pomposity. Superg has always been happy to give his opinion in the past when the shareprice is mis-behaving, and to give us a nudge when he knows it's a 'supply' causing it.

Of course I don't EXPECT him to know anything, and I don't think my question was unfair in the slightest. Superg knows how much I respect him, and all his incredible research that he shares, and I do not believe for one minute that my question was resented by him in any way.

Why you have set yourselves up as his 'guardian', I'm not really sure. I don't think I'm the only one today who is puzzled and a bit nervous by the hefty drop, now down from 245p to 210p, especially as Lance Baller is still there, and advising, and we have such superb propects and team to take over the reins.

Because of this, the drop does not make sense to me. OK?

I noticed this morning on small volume that the price was pulled back each time on very small sales but not recovered on small purchases.

The market makers have seized an opportunity today to flush out weak holders and trigger stops, and thus create a bit of turnover in the doldrums whilst the market awaits an AGM update. The down spike has been artificial ie manipulated.

It will recover later in the week after the news - and sharply if the news is a surprise - or to last week's level in the unlikely event that nothing new emerges.

The long term trend of the share price channel on your screen never changes unless either the whole market changes, or something of substance happens in the business to change its performance. That applies to both good and bad changes but they must be material as you will find when a water contract is disclosed or we get an RNS announcing that IO#3 is substantially out performing IO#2 because the iodine ppm is so much higher at the new site.

That could create a breakout into a steeper channel.

You want slippage? Try this -

IO2 - due 2012. Didn't arrive till Q1 2013. That's slippage for you. The ramp up to full production was supposed to take just a few weeks. We still don't know whether it's happened yet. More slippage.

IO3 - due Q1. Still not operational. Yet more slippage.

IO4 - due Q2. Still waiting but it doesn't look as though as though it'll make that deadline either. Even more slippage!

What a bunch of failures this lot must be. The share price must really have plummeted over the last six months.

Err .. Wait a minute. Apparently not. How can that be?

Slippage isn't failure. It happens in companies like this. Investors recognise the benefits to be gained from re-siting IO3 and are looking forward to the excellent production possible in OK. Public statements about slippage may cause temporary blips - nothing more.

worraps,

when it comes to the stock market, I wouldn't follow anyone blindly.

To put that question tp superg wasn't fair on him, if you're being honest.

WRITZ.....hope you're right, and that's all it is. I suppose they've got alot of revenge to get out of their system, and this maybe their last chance. Just a shame I jumped in far too early, when we were 'recovering' from the Lance RNS last week. Never mind, let's hope the anticipation re the AGM isn't misplaced, and the shorters get punished.

Worraps, whilst SG1 is the expert on all things IOF, it is a bit much to expect him to know why we have had the dip again today. No-one can know every reason for every transaction, or why the market moves on any particular day.

Sandbag, if people are somehow nervous after listening to that interview, they really need to do a lot more research.

Do not allow the vagaries of the market to undermine your confidence. We are all invested here for the right reasons, and I am sure the AGM will clarify a number of points and bring renewed vigour to our upward progress.

Thanks, superg. If you don't know, then no-one else will !! Like you, I feel the vibes re progress will surprise us in a positive way. Which makes today's fall even more puzzling.

Worraps, it's just a team of shorters trying to kick the legs out from under the price. Great stuff - kind of like the Apple store putting everything on a discount.

Looks like a bit of game playing going on- line comes on the offer right at the end of the day-when it's unlikely to be challenged- at a time when mms are not offering in size. The games people play!!!!

Sg1,

You say:
"For the record I have io3 on it's full bpd as a 500 to 600 mt unit. Hence I couldn't give a sausage that it didn't go into Texas 3 months back for 125mt."
This is a very positive statement.
Perhaps the drop is because in his interview with Industrial Minerals the Chairman only said:
"A third plant was originally scheduled for completion at the end of February but has yet to become operational". This is not positive and in fact to anyone not au fait with the company may sound warning bells. This could be part or whole of the reason for today's drop.

.......so, superg, you're the guru here, what in your opinion has caused this drop today? I was actually expecting a recovery from the Lance news, going into Wednesday's AGM. The drop doesn't look like it does when there's a supply, or to trigger stops.......so.....this has got me puzzled. It's certainly got the feel of something wrong.....but what? I can't believe they would have any more negative news in the pipeline, having released the Lance RNS last week. I've topped up naturally, but am feeling a bit unnerved.

Shonny you are so helpful on so many BB's I see, but rarely right.

Blimey 'Slippage', lol.

See I can't say a thing.

IOF had plenty of issues in 2008 to 2011 with the tech, but then they mastered it. Bits and pieces here from trucks with low ppm and 6 foot of snow caused slippage. Then came io3 with it's move from Texas to OK.

For the record I have io3 on it's full bpd as a 500 to 600 mt unit. Hence I couldn't give a sausage that it didn't go into Texas 3 months back for 125mt.

So while one buy note has io3 at 125mt annually I have it at 500 to 600 mt at full speed. I have no idea re timelines or care if they are a few weeks out.

If some haven't realised io2 to 6 could all be on that sort of level, so slippage or lower bpd isn't an issue when set against analysts views.

I suspect share price fall from 245 has more to do with Lance leaving and jitters that IO3 revenues delayed. Big picture still in place but as we know market unforgiving with perceived failure .Let's hope this is cleared up tomorrow as I'm keeping my powder dry while the share price drifts.

Wasn't SG originally referring to IO3 having slipped from it's original date due to a far better site coming up? Providing it goes in before too long and IO4 joins it not long after then no problem.

What's going on

I just got in and seen todays disaster, having bought back in on Friday I thought we were over the bad news, I cant even see what has caused todays drop. I'm sticking with it this time if they go down they go down, after the AGM I am assuming the price my become more stable
