Re the rns date and mid month comments.

I'm told io6 started that week, so sometime between the 11th and 13th August. So they had about 11 to 13 days of production data at the time of the completion of the rns.

Fest

Half the reason they are only hints is to avoid some buying in like mad on matters that can take months or beyond a year.

Those that are aware know very well that it can take a very long time for any interest in any share to develop into a deal, JV or offer.

I had 4 sets of comms via various people over a week naming one company some time back, some of that info came from sources who didn't know anything about IOF. I'd never heard of them but have looked them up in detail, and have heard their name since. Yes they are Japanese.

If you post such matters with conviction all you end up with is a price spike and a load of disgruntled 'investors' not happy that it didn't happen within 3 days.

If you are one of the tipster bunch, some names which we know well, then dropping in 'tips' very heavily in reports serves them very well to exit while PIs load up on a rising price. They do it all the time. The usual bear crew pumped PLE to death, took their profits then shorted it and trashed the company.

Many tipsters just use the system to make a profit, no surprises there. Some investors even pay for subscription for the pleasure of being duped. ??

Re RB , came across this - presumably when they talk about delisting, it means it close to games up!

TORONTO, Sept. 16, 2014 /CNW/ - DELISTING REVIEW RB Energy Inc. (the "Company") – TSX is reviewing the common shares (Symbol: RBI) of the Company with respect to meeting the continued listing requirements. The Company has been granted 120 days in which to regain compliance with these requirements, pursuant to the Remedial Review Process.

9th July

"We continue to have strong interest in long term supply agreements with multiple Iodine customers. These agreements would allow the Company a built in hedging mechanism from price volatility. "

I half expect agreement(s) may be released with results, who knows.

Maybe not SG, but dropping the 'Japs' in like that is just another in the incredibly long line of hints, rumours, nudges, pings etc... that have taken us precisely nowhere.I now deal only in facts on this and any other share, it is my losses and experience of IOF that has pushed me to that.I have also added to my IOF and OXUS today, now that my recovery play on BLNX has borne fruit.

Ask him what evidence he has that IOF met others re other aspects of their business, then expect a long post.

Fest, Is it of interest if they did or not? The answer seems obvious, but I too believe they have.

Fest, I'm sure its highly likely. Although we haven't heard anything official as it were, in this particular case, i think the rumour that Lance has met up with some japanese companies is well founded. It would make perfect sense at this point.

Bogg1e, what evidence do you have to state that the IOF board have spent time meeting with 'Japs'??Statements like that are surely pure fantasy on your part, and are based on nothing more than cryptic hints on this BB by folk such as Mr Big.

Well well well.

See it's worth re reading news.

From posts I think it's safe top say many assumed the 14th August was an advanced date so far into the month that 40mt could be forecast with confidence.

I didn't spot the relevance of the wording either.

io2

'The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.'

io4

'The upgrade is expected to be complete in mid-August'

'IO#6 began full production this week'

So when did the nomad get the news for release ??. It must have been about a week before the actual release.

So when it says io6 this week, was that a week earlier.

So IOF didn't release August news later, the nomad held onto it, then released it.

I'll try and get some answers re the io6 start date

IOF July update news v August forecast 40mt.

July 25 mt

io2 July issues.

Low flow, frack disruption. Large amounts of oil incoming.

Completely shut in at the month end, AND into the first week of August

It coincided with an SWD upgrade.

'complete salt water disposal design upgrade by the Operator, which Iofina welcomes'

Now here is an interesting line that gives you some idea of when the Nomad gets an rns v releasing it.

RNS date 14th August 'The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.'

I suspect the rns was completed by IOF a week earlier at least.

Brine availability has risen due to increased wells and they expect a significant increase in production post SWD upgrade.

IO4

IO#4

'is currently being upgraded with a booster system which will be placed on the Operators SWD site and will be capable of delivering 30,000+ barrels per day of brine to the plant. The upgrade is expected to be complete in mid-August. The SWD site consistently handles this volume on a daily basis, hence production is expected to increase significantly and should be realized during the second half of the month.'

Hmmmm an 'in mid August' comment, yet the rns was released mid August.

io5 running from 30th July with good brine rates.

O#6 Production Plant
IO#6 began full production this week. Delays in IO#6 start-up were due to Operator design changes at the tie in. The Company expects good water quality and quantity at IO#6 and therefore favorable production volumes.

We can go on for weeks about monthly updates.

The fact is we have had one every month since that was said, and they still have the rest of this month to report what happened last month, if they so wish.

The last rns was on 14th last month 35 days after the last update. We are currently on day 33 since the last update.

Trying to guess which day it will be is pointless. If it comes tomorrow they have given us a monthly update. If it comes next week, they have given us a monthly update.

It's a pointless argument, IOF have done what they said they would do in terms of regular updates. If one doesn't come for August, they haven't.

Next time we get news they may say they are stopping regular updates, who knows. But for now we have been getting updates just like they said we would.

If we are in mid October and no update for August, then I get the argument.

There could be a host of reasons for not releasing news. One of those could be the nomad saying no.

I entirely agree that it would be a bit daft to forecast 40mt if you already weren't some way there. However we have details to go in the last 2 news releases, and to me, having read them both it seemed that they would need the io2,4,5 and 6 plans to be on track to hit it.

I'll have another read, it's not caution for the sake of it. One did appear wondering whether to buy yet or not, and the obvious answer for one in doubt was to wait for news, which is what I think they did, and are still doing.

I understand where you are coming from, we were all really frustrated by G&Gs reluctance with decent info and so a temporary delay in comms does raise that ugly spectre. Once the inerrims are published comms will return to a more regular pattern.

Bog, I'd like to think of what I am saying as offering guidance, rather than simply criticism! Yes, in a super busy situation priorities are vital - I just think a timely update should have been made to happen as being of real benefit. I'm a long term supporter - as you know, and want them to realise the vital importance of good comms. More important than the exact amount of production! EDIT Addition: If a routine update really was impossible, then a simple statement to say so would have been good. Even more so if said circumstances no longer called for such frequent ones!

VMH, Taking the phrase you recall (What was said was in a dialogue and not any simple statement and the word month was used. Certainly not your single phrase in isolation.) it does not matter to my point as it is now history. The monthly pattern has been established in fact; confidence and trust needs to have any disruption explained - before it happens.

hew, disagree entirely mate. Put yourself in Lances shoes, this month in particular is insanely busy for them. They have to publish half yearly accounts and update us on the following; monthly production figures august and probably september, plant roll out, plant operational review. There is a lot to update the market on, each of which would require an RNS in its own right. If i were Lance, with the interrims imminent, I would put it all in one review, because thats efficient, during a period in which he really needs to be efficient with his time. Releasing multiple RNS's is not efficient. If anything, Lance needs our understanding right now, not criticism.
