13/10/2013 23:35 | bakero, impossibly too kind. as ever £in.yourdebt ttfn | donkeystone
13/10/2013 15:45 | Not sure, have just downloaded the takeover code as a pdf...will get back to you in 400 pages time!(I think the deadline has gone now but not sure) | bakero
09/10/2013 22:47 | Was today the day after which no other party can make a competing offer? Don't really understand the takeover rules. Help? As ever £some ttfn | donkeystone
08/10/2013 14:08 | We don't know date yet (I think) and it depends on what others do too as total mix of cash & shares across all needs to be per the offer.Expect it to be December or January though | bakero
08/10/2013 07:41 | Am I correct in thinking that we do not have to make the election until January '14? | redartbmud
07/10/2013 22:05 | SU can be held under ISA rulesI am with iweb and didn't ask, but did get a quote for a trade so assume they are OK with itYou can also elect to have full payment im cash with no SU shares | bakero
06/10/2013 09:31 | bakero, Thanks for that, concentrated the mind, now works. Interested to see your comment that you are able to hold Schneider in an ISA. I'm being told that it's OK to hold in a SIPP but not an ISA. Might I ask who you have your ISA with? I am with Barclays and at the moment they are saying no in an ISA. Thanks. As ever £whatever ttfn | donkeystone
06/10/2013 05:20 | Hi donkeystone, It is pretty much as you describe. "Under the offer Invensys shareholders will get 0.025955 New Schneider Electric shares and 372 pence in cash" So multiply your current shareholding by £3.72 (cash) + (0.025955 * SU share price * EUR to GBP conversion rate) I'm away at the moment so can't check my current calculation of that easily, but since the offer have reckoned we are trading around 2.5% - 3.0% under what the offer is worth. Not sure what your (or my for that matter) broker charges for selling SU though or conversion rate they will apply (can be held in ISA though at least) bakero | bakero
04/10/2013 13:16 | If some kind soul has a spare moment could they give me the algebra/excel formula that calculates the fluctuating value of the Schneider offer per existing Invensys share? Schneider share price x no of shares x euro or whatever it is plus cash?? I can't make it work Thanks as ever £something ttfn | donkeystone
18/9/2013 20:45 | This is a done deal. There will be no other bids...............p | mitch101
18/9/2013 15:38 | SU is up, so current takeover offer is worth about 5.19 a share | bakero
18/9/2013 15:16 | That's why us die hards are hanging on... | jak1
18/9/2013 12:15 | Price now over takeover price, market expecting another offer? | lancasterbomber
16/9/2013 08:25 | Donkeystone I am still hanging in. Whats a few more weeks after suffering for 11 years. | badwood
11/9/2013 16:08 | Yep, still here. Gona see it through to the end, would be rude not to after all this time... | jak1

11/9/2013 11:50 | Bakero, where did you see this "Scheme document published today. No more ISYS after 9th Jan 2014...28 days remaining for a rival bid!", or can you post it on here for us all to see, thanks | m welsh
11/9/2013 10:25 | Still here, ISA holding since 2009. | uknighted
11/9/2013 09:19 | I've sold about half in two trades to get into other things, should sell and move on really, but after 10 years here feel the need to see it through to the end | bakero
11/9/2013 09:03 | Well I am still here, any other long termers still lurking? Will they or won't they ............. the other possible offerors? As ever £5.01 or euros or dollars or remnimbi or whatever ttfn | donkeystone
11/9/2013 08:45 | Scheme document published today. No more ISYS after 9th Jan 2014...28 days remaining for a rival bid! | bakero
31/8/2013 10:33 | Offer is equivalent to about £5.01 at the moment, so about 2.5% to be made from holding for 4 months - not as great as might initially think (and assuming nothing goes wrong...or no rival offer emerges of course) | bakero
30/8/2013 14:12 | free money to be made here the way this is going... what a crazy market this is... | jak1 |
