06/8/2013 13:10 | i think i have that wrong. i think the offer document publication date is when the prospectus is sent to shareholders - aug/sep, see presentation page 31, indicative timeline . in which case would be 21 days after that. that would give a rival bidder some two months to act. can any takeover code experts verify this? | rumpelstiltskin2
06/8/2013 12:16 | not sure. my guess is a rival bidder would have to show up before the first closing date, which doesn't appear to have been specified yet, but I think has to be at least 21 days from when the offer document is published. i guess that is August 21. any expert on the UK takeover code out there ? | rumpelstiltskin2
06/8/2013 11:47 | Rumpel,By when would you expect any alternate offer to be made? | bakero
06/8/2013 11:17 | cash flow good and a $300 million disposal | rumpelstiltskin2

06/8/2013 08:55 | might not be any mention in results, but there is a investor conference call and webcast at 7pm UK time. they will surely get asked about it | rumpelstiltskin2
06/8/2013 08:23 | When will Emerson results be, around 1pm (UK time) ?Fingers crossed for something there | bakero
05/8/2013 17:45 | why on earth should anyone reduce, cannot see any logic in that. | tom111
05/8/2013 17:37 | lol anything to get some more commissions eh? | rumpelstiltskin2
05/8/2013 16:38 | Broker rec... Charles Stanley downgraded to reduce from hold after Schneider confirmed terms to buy ISYS. Brief piece here peeps: hxxp://www.brokerfor | major clanger
04/8/2013 17:29 | Dont count your chickens! I see Emerson have their Q3 results on Tuesday. Its going to be interesting to see if they have anything to say about this. Are they really going to let Schneider snap up Invensys on the cheap? Schneider will pick up a DCS and safety system installed base of £12 billion, so suddenly the competitive environment looks a lot more challenging! | rumpelstiltskin2
04/8/2013 17:05 | I'm on option 2SU shares can be held in an ISA | bakero
04/8/2013 17:01 | There is a currency risk Lancasterbomber, but the Euro does however seem strong again the pound. In the meantime I go along with number 2 option, nothing to lose really | tom111
04/8/2013 16:54 | Trying to decide what to about with these shares there appear to be 3 options 1. Sell now at what is the offer price 2. Wait to see if there is a better offer 3. Accept the offer, however does anyone know if shares in the French company can be held in a an ISA? There is the possibility of course, that the value of the French companies share might increase in the meantime. Are most people going with Option 2 at the moment? | lancasterbomber
02/8/2013 09:38 | wonder if the Sunday Times will be back with some new speculation this weekend? how about Honeywell? its shares are up 50% over the last 12 months and trading at record highs. it could use its shares as currency | rumpelstiltskin2
01/8/2013 15:30 | Schneider shares are up 4.5% everyone loves them because they know they will make billions out of this deal ! | rumpelstiltskin2
01/8/2013 15:12 | Yes I had noticed that badwood I guess it might be tempting to go for the shares in Schneider if there is no other bid, thanks | tom111
01/8/2013 15:00 | yes, offer price is now 5.106 rather than 5.02 (due to rise is SU) | bakero
01/8/2013 14:58 | Tom I think Invensys share price has climbed above offer price because Schneider shares have increased in value since Tuesday. Tabled offer based on Schneider share price of 58 euros, now its nearing 62 euros. | badwood
01/8/2013 13:53 | Over the offer price now, looks as if they are anticipating another bid | tom111
01/8/2013 13:50 | I see they are calling it a £2.4 billion purchase, after taking account of the tax benefits | rumpelstiltskin2
01/8/2013 11:06 | I agree. imo Schneider could easily double the value of the £2.8 billion purchase. key is the installed base of £12 billion | rumpelstiltskin2
01/8/2013 10:57 | In all the flurry of RNS' has anyone been keeping track of the total % those banks/institutions hold formally announcing they are holding for Schneider? Whilst no one else has come forward with a bid (and they may not) it doesn't quite feel as though Schneider have delivered the coup de grace. ttfn | donkeystone
