Hello Badwood,
If it gets to £4.40 and is still rising, what to do, what to do?
Fred's havin' nowt'.
All this £7.00 conjecture is a bit exciting, anyone got a print source?

Hello Hobby and Donkeystone

Rejoice, rejoice for those of us that have waited on the quayside for the good ship Invensys to return to where she set sail six long years ago at latitude 390 degres in June 2007. To those soothsayers who thought we were lacking in the sense department I say to them - Oh ye of little faith. I have been on board for 12 years and counting. My first purchase was at 11p old money.

Donkeystone what will thou do when Invensys coverts 440? Will you give them to charity or perhaps a small donation to the Fred Goodwin fund ?

And by the way the Invensys tea lady was replaced by a vending machine as part of an efficieny drive. Rumour has it that she landed herself the position as a speech writer for Edwardo Silly specialising in World at One interviews with Martha Kearney.

May your profits be large.

Hello Hobby,

Now which way will the tea lady be facing this time?
Cadillac or Citroen in the car park?

To me, this time, it looks likely it's the denouement.

No idea where the price will end up, your thoughts?

I'll sign off and hope you are well.

Further update on the disposal of Invensys Rail
18 April 2013
Further to the update on the disposal of Invensys Rail issued on 19 December 2012, Invensys plc announces that it has been informed by Siemens AG that all the necessary anti-trust clearances and consents have now been received. The disposal of Invensys Rail to Siemens AG for £1,742 million remains subject to customary closing mechanics and completion is expected to take place on 2 May 2013.

In relation to the return of £625 million of cash to shareholders (around 76 pence per share), a circular to shareholders containing details of the return of cash is planned to be issued as soon as practicable after the announcement of the Group's full year results on 16 May 2013. The return of cash is subject to the approval of Invensys Shareholders at a General Meeting which is expected to take place in June 2013.

Return of Capital to Shareholders
In addition, subject to Completion of the Rail Disposal, we intend to return £625 million
(around 76.7 pence per share) to Invensys Shareholders (the "Return of Capital").
Information on the Return of Capital will be set out in a separate circular which is expected
to be sent to Invensys Shareholders shortly following Completion of the Rail Disposal. The
Return of Capital is likely to be subject to the further approval of Invensys Shareholders.

m101 It will be on a date in the future to be specified. As this will "de-value" the shares it will not be retrospective.

Thanks DP
I haven't had this sort of thing before so do you know if the Return of Capital will be for those shareholders registered as holders as of the date of Completion of the sale or those registered on a date prior to the completion of the sale. If the latter, any idea what this date would be?

I agree this has a nice slowly slowly gradient up..............
What's the deal with the 76p/share gimme in 2013? I assume there will be a record date. Is that likely to be announced once the sale has been completed?
