01/6/2018 11:46 | Well found Knowing. This action has been ongoing for a while I beleive. Very odd though that it has never been lodged in either the UK or the EU. As you can see, it has to do with fuel surcharging. Sadly, only applies to US citizens by the look of it but it is unusual for BA to agree settlements in cases such as this. Historically they don't from what I can see. I wonder if this will encourage a similar claim in the UK or EU ? | m1k3y1

26/5/2018 14:03 | Some years ago Indigo was on the radar for IAG, not sure if it still is but an interesting proposition. | m1k3y1
26/5/2018 13:23 | Quite possibly. If oil continues its rise, it might be easier to pick up Norwegian for a bit less (assuming their share price tanks if the markets decide things are looking iffy for them).Short term movements anyway. Yada yada yada.Suspect WW has already decided that Norwegian is a good fit under the IAG umbrella and thats that.I'd be more surprised now if nothing comes of it.I'd still like to see a link up with one of the Eastern/Asian airlines (not sure if the rules over there forbid us from buying their airlines). Drag us upmarket a bit lol. | chiefbrody
26/5/2018 12:34 | Agreed chief. However, Norwegian are in a bit of a mess financially at the moment , which is why IAG have made the offer, I suspect. Even small increases in fuel costs can have a substantial impact when you are struggling . IAG are much better placed and with 7.7B in the banck , I think Kjos would be foolish not to accept. Unless of course, it is a the power he finds attractive , with being CEO of Norwegian. Personally , I think he is trying to angle for a position within IAG. He won't get it of course. | m1k3y1
26/5/2018 12:02 | Ah yes. Remember reading that Norwegian are heavily betting on a fall on oil prices. If the price carries on north for a few more quarters, they could be in a bit of bother. | chiefbrody
26/5/2018 08:51 | Understand that Norwegian are circa 25% hedged while IAG are 70% for 2018 | m1k3y1
25/5/2018 23:44 | Depends how much they're hedged. A fair amount i believe. Can't see oil continuing in this relentless fashion. A pause and return to 60/70 wouldn't go amis. | chiefbrody
25/5/2018 23:11 | but 30% increase from $60 to $80. It will still hurt their bottom line. I think Walsh may be successful. We'll see | m1k3y1
25/5/2018 22:34 | 3% drop in the oil price Today, perhaps Norwegian have bet correctly. | neilrich

25/5/2018 21:15 | This might have something to do with the SP | m1k3y1
25/5/2018 17:26 | Depends how far you're going neil. Not worth it on short flights | m1k3y1
25/5/2018 17:05 | Very good positive end to the week....I shall enjoy my flight with BA this evening, only wish I'd upgraded to Club Europe when I had the chance! | neilrich
25/5/2018 16:49 | The buyback program is probably helping but I suspect there is more to it. The share price has been fluctuating a bit lately. Close above 700 has to be positive though. | m1k3y1
25/5/2018 15:30 | Not sure what's driving the share price Today, however I'd say a very positive movement from the technical analysis perspective. | neilrich

24/5/2018 18:04 | I think that a joint bid would be a nightmare and therefore unlikely. | neilrich
24/5/2018 17:23 | But what about a joint bid between IAG and Ryannair Neil ? Even if it is just an agreement between the two parties as opposed to an officvial joint offer ? | m1k3y1
24/5/2018 17:04 | I don't believe O'Leary shall bid for Norwegian, Ryanair have their own issues. | neilrich |
