What should ramp up the results ?

this will ramp up to the results, which should be benign at worst
but more likely positive, with the possibility of a 1 off special divi

Have to agree with you guys, looks the leanest in valuation from the pack and that Divi at current price looks more sustainable than others. Results out on 23rd, I look forward to them.

Results should be positive, regardless of this 'correction'.
At the end of the day, IAG is making a lot of profit with more to come, so stick with it !

Opened a small bullish position ahead of the results (remain net short which may not be my smartest move).

agreed again !
Substantially undervalued IMO FWIW.
The divi is bound to be increased , buybacks would be welcome but I anticipate an up tick with the announcement that the new pension scheme has been agreed, in March, which should present substantial savings to IAG in the long term.

Indeed. Plenty of scope to increase the Div or another round of share buybacks.Markets pricing IAG like $100 oil or another round of nut jobs brining down planes is just around the corner. Is there a cheaper FTSE 100 stock on P/E valuations?

Agreed neilritch. In addition, let's not forget that Qatar own 21% and they haven't done that for nothing.
Post Brexit this could present a tasty target for Qatar, or someone else !

No idea, don't understand Today's share price movement. P/E less 6, dividend >4.5%, with cover at 3.74. Excellent brands, solid base, EPS growth forecast 2018 and 2019(10% in 2019) and with "the best yet to come" quote from Wille Walsh. Surly a potential take over target at this level? Should the market crash where is this price going? PE <4 and dividend >7?

IAG has global reach unlike EZJ and the global economy is booming.

If we apply the same valuation as Easyjet, the share price would be £12+.

Have to kick start those share buy backs again at this rate. Wouldn't say no to a special div either.

Crunching the numbers for IAG, so this year 2018 with the price at 614p the PE is 5.74 and 4.65% yield, the dividend cover is 3.74.

Good question.

The scheme will still have costs to pay out, however the pension debt should start reducing over the years...will it ever to be eradicated?..i doubt it

IAG is a company with global reach, unlike other UK listed airlines which have a PE of 15 and a lower dividend and less dividend cover. The global economic recovery is strengthening, according to the IMF, therefore more likely to benefit the likes of IAG.

Agreed neilrich, no idea why this share price is not much higher.
