15/5/2018 13:10 | Div nearly 4 x covered so could easily increase it significantly.Pay down more debt.Probably staying cash rich for further acquisitions.Makes 4 x the profit of EZJ yet only worth double.1 company in growth mode, the other treated like a boring utility. | chiefbrody
15/5/2018 12:54 | Hi Chief There is a problem with the divi of course, if the share price keeps increasing. The higher the share price the lower the divi return. So you are correct that there will be pressure on IAG to increase the divi, or provide another method to entice investors. | m1k3y1
15/5/2018 12:32 | Just don't think the markets like IAG that much.Maybe they could bump the dividend a bit (lot). Pay a special div? | chiefbrody
15/5/2018 12:26 | Ryanair up also ? | m1k3y1
15/5/2018 12:23 | Chief ........entirely agree . EZJ much better for IAG . I have no idea why IAG are struggling , unless the MM's are keeping the shares low to help the share buy back ? Great Q1 results, positive April traffic Stats , makes little sense not to see the share price well above 700. | m1k3y1
15/5/2018 12:18 | Maybe IAG should have purchased EZJ shares instead :-) | chiefbrody
15/5/2018 11:14 | EZJ up again.....IAG is down and that's with the share buyback!! Disappointing! | neilrich
13/5/2018 13:49 | RNS Releases including sale by Simpson hxxp://www.iagshares hxxp://www.iagshares | m1k3y1
11/5/2018 14:13 | Looks like the MM's are determined to keep this below 700 for the moment. Amazing to watch the candles go up and then in seconds go down by the same amount LOL. | m1k3y1
11/5/2018 08:21 | Monty IAG are 70% hedged for 2018 with regard to fuel, so any oil rise should be limited for this year. Norwegian are only 25%hedged apparently , so not in such a good position | m1k3y1
11/5/2018 07:54 | Surely oil price rise, will hit margins. | montyhedge
09/5/2018 22:06 | It will still help neil. Last year I think they bought 3.4%. With 7B in cash they will have to do something with it soon. | m1k3y1
09/5/2018 21:57 | Every little buyback helps.Or not in the case of Lloyds.Pity they're buying back with the shares at an all time high but the current valuation is still cheap (probably one of the lowest P/E in the whole FT100) so it could be worse! | chiefbrody
09/5/2018 21:47 | Unfortunately at Today's price they are looking at 63,000,000 shares. | neilrich
09/5/2018 18:27 | starting tomorrow neil. It can only help the share price and you can't have everything !LOL Maximum number of shares to be acquired: up to 185,000,000 shares, which represents 9 per cent of the IAG's share capital as at today's date (9 May 2018) hxxp://www.iagshares | m1k3y1
09/5/2018 18:05 | Such a pity that the share buy back did not take place when the share price was 10% lower. | neilrich
09/5/2018 15:36 | Traffic stats April 2018 hxxp://www.iairgroup Group traffic in April, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres, increased by 3.4 per cent versus April 2017; Group capacity measured in Available Seat Kilometres rose by 4.9 per cent. | m1k3y1
09/5/2018 12:01 | Thanks neil, hopefully positive | m1k3y1
09/5/2018 11:42 | Announcement shortly.....April Traffic Stats. | neilrich
09/5/2018 10:55 | Looks like 'The Chump Effect' has had an impact with oil prices increasing. Fortunately IAG has hedged 70% of it's fuel for the whole of 2018. I suspect this might help focus the mind of Kjos though, with Norwegian a lot more exposed to increasing fuel costs. | m1k3y1
08/5/2018 23:34 | fingers crossed neil. I think Norwegian could be a good fit for IAG and help the share price if there is a speedy deal. If it drags out I am not so sure. I also wonder if Kjos is angling for a position within the IAG board ? Fingers crossed for a quick outcome, .as the share price is in positive territory atm. After losing the Niki Air deal, I also suspect that Walsh would like to clinch this one. | m1k3y1
08/5/2018 22:07 | That's what I thought...sounds like Mr Kjos is not adverse to the idea of a sale, potentially inviting IAG to make a formal bid. | neilrich
08/5/2018 20:23 | Is this a public message to encourage IAG back with a higher offer, or is he hoping to flush out another bid ? I suspect he has only had the one offer atm. | m1k3y1
08/5/2018 16:44 | Positive close. Now all we have to wait for is Chumps announcement later today to see how the Dow reacts. | m1k3y1 |
