Gents the travel industry is done. It is all part of the sociopath's great reset. All airlines are terminal cases and failures will start to manifest this year. There will be no more relief funding once cash is used. Mass travel is on an existential decay as the airlines sequentially capitulate. The only international travel will be for those with significant wealth who can fly privately. The rantings of a madman of the prophecy of the enlightened?

That's because their vaccination rates are so low.

It doesn't justify stopping travel for those who have been double jabbed though.

Delta , or Lambda, or whatever comes next will spread regardless it seems.

It's not the UK that affects most of the travel industry, it's RoW, and countries are blacklisting UK by the day. How do you think they'll react when the caseload goes up to 100k a day after July 19? They're not interested in low fatalities, just case numbers.

There will be no further delays or lockdowns under Sajid Javid. He has made that clear today. Learn to live with this virus. The scaremongering figures are having no impact on their plans now - covid will just be treated as a bad flu season.

Short sellers need to realise this.

If Merkel tries to ban Brits who have had jabs, she will end up with a major law suit.

After all, it will just demonstrate that she doesn't believe the vaccine works !

If you look at the stats , it's actually europe that's in a mess from a vaccination perspective.

However, BoJo has undoubtedly been making a complete mess of the whole situation.
I expect Javid to just follow BoJo's lead and do nothing to rock the boat.

However, they definitely need to do something to support the travel industry and airlines in particular. Unless of course they want to completely destroy it and everyone's jobs and pensions along with it.

had a short on lufthansa from just under 13, nice 30 pc pop....more to come....regret not getting a short on these but i think the most screaming short is easyjet, seriously over valued. Looking like 3 shots of astra to deal with delta and merkel looking to block uk citizens into europe vaccinated or not. This is not an investment, its a trade. get on the right side of it, uk a terminal mess, may as well make money out of it.
