11/5/2021 09:05 | I agree. The bonds show IAG shouldn't fold and has a long-term future and that's worth holding IAG as an investment, especially at the bottom where it effectively (still) is right now... I think IAG are generally over cautious with their finances too, so I expect revenues and payback to come sooner rather than later. | activeservo
11/5/2021 08:46 | The results of the issue will be the interesting part. I bought in in a tiny way yesterday so a bit annoyed. But I guess the fact that bond holders will purchase their bonds is some comfort, let's see at what interest rate. | spagboll
11/5/2021 08:34 | It's the 277% rise in bookings that will offset all the debt. Each airline share price should surge when each EU tourist destination hits the green list in the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to that. It's just a time risk, will the green list overtake the debt commitments. | activeservo
11/5/2021 08:33 | List of existing bonds here...https://cbond | julcester
11/5/2021 08:21 | Huge bond issue .. to raise 8b Euros Existing cash will allow them to manage approx 14 months , I think monthly burn is around 700m , anyone agree or disagree ? I am not sure Must not forget there are 2 other small we bonds maturing.. so pay back or be diluted .. mentioned on my previous post somewhere | jailbird
11/5/2021 08:00 | Not great to see yet another debt issue from IAG this morning. Airlines are usually long a lot of cash due to selling tickets up front so the signalling effect of issuing a bond when liquidity was 10.5bn at the end of Q1 does not fill me with confidence on how IAG is viewing ticket sales. | pdosullivan
11/5/2021 07:51 | Looks like I might get my 180 top up. | activeservo
10/5/2021 08:23 | US pipeline shutdown due to cyber attack already affecting fuel price and will be shortages is not sorted within a day or so | bartyb
09/5/2021 12:55 | Bookings for holidays to Portugal have gone "through the roof" after the country was added to the government's green travel list, Thomas Cook has said. The European nation is one of just 12 destinations where travellers can visit from 17 May without needing to self-isolate upon their return to England. On Friday night, Thomas Cook said it had taken more bookings for trips to Portugal in a single hour than it did in the whole of April. | justiceforthemany
07/5/2021 17:18 | It's a start and will become more progressive as vaccine rollout gathers pace | milliecusto
07/5/2021 17:07 | I don't believe that either the people, or the travel companies will put up with this for much longer. North America is the one that needs to open and it will be under pressure to do it. | m1k3y1
07/5/2021 16:55 | Iag will need to raise more money within about six months at the cash burn rate, shocking. The just published green list for travel is hopeless, two thirds of the countries on the list are closed to travellers from britain ( a cynical move by U.K. government, you can travel, but not really ) I just cant see it, the share price of these, easyjet and Ryan are running on fumes, more dilution coming shortly. Sell. | porsche1945
07/5/2021 08:56 | "The roads are once again completely clogged by commuters and so it is only a matter of time now before the skies are full of airplanes! " that depends on other countries vaccinating every single person in this country doesn't help IAG that much unless all other countries can do the same it will take a long time for that to happen And as immunity only lasts for about 9 months after a double vaccination, everyone has to be re-vaccinated every year going forward For travel companies this is their worst nightmare | spob
07/5/2021 07:59 | The roads are once again completely clogged by commuters and so it is only a matter of time now before the skies are full of airplanes! There is a huge pent-up demand for holidays and travel which can only benefit those of us who continue to hold through the current (tail end) of turbulence. | the juggler
07/5/2021 07:25 | It's a lobbying RNS before the sky's open in the next three months. Biggest bullish sign being no further raise at the moment. | activeservo
07/5/2021 06:59 | It is booker Only positive is Cash operating costs for the quarter reduced to 175 million per week" , not sure of previous figure Until long haul flights resume in earnest , it is gonna be quite a while before we see profits here again | jailbird

07/5/2021 06:16 | Net Debt scary, as well that it is holding £8bln cash, but interest bearing debt up considerably at nearly £20bln. And then the cost of re-activating the flight schedule whenever that happens. | bookbroker
06/5/2021 14:57 | No I wasn't referring to you.If you've been on here for any length of time, you'll know Georgie porgie is the village idiot. | kasamavic
04/5/2021 15:56 | I see the village idiot is back with his projections. | kasamavic
04/5/2021 09:43 | Might want to look at the shares in issue George. Those numbers are borderline impossible. It didn't even reach 7 squid last time and now we have nearly double the number of shares.3.50 in 2023 would be amazing (imo). | chiefbrody |
