As profits pour in - isn't that a good thing?

Views on IAG snapping up Malaysian airlines? Mentioned on cnbc any suitors to take control and IAG was discussed.

Penycae, bracke ... Good to see you on this thread. Lots of volatility here but hopefully nothing too nasty.

IAG doesn't care about it's employees only interested in profits morale at an all time low as profits pour in.

Yes you stops make me go weak at the knee!

No doubt when the current situation blows over as it will, IAG will move up.

BP. is approaching the Daily SMA 200 which may offer support and a possible buy but the sanctions situation may take the share price lower.

Just a reminder that there is a 'chunky' gap from 28/29 October 2013 at 451. I am not expecting it to go that low but if the situation deteriorates........

Afternoon bracke!
They keep forcing it down, me and the monkey keep adding. Got a decent sb position here, also accumulating ARM. All part of the game. FOREX still paying the rent, so there's no rush in either case.
Using stops here that would make yer eyes water, but nothing like the ones I use on FOREX. Risk/reward is very much the same.
Play the game, but not the way they want you to....
Looking to get back long in BP, but not for a while yet.

Easyjet weathering the storms well though, probably sector pick.

I think with plane crash hitting the headlines every five minutes further downside is likely. Sector not in favour and with the thought of Malaysian airlines going bust will worry most.

(Not So) Good day Penycae

Another fine mess monkey's got you into!

Using my well known 'Infra draw' method I have determined that it either manages to stop the slide at the current level - 324 or it's down to 300 with the fair possibility of 285.

I appreciate this little gem of analysis will not be well received by the natives so I'm off.

Morning all.
Added to my sb this morning. Got stops a long way under three quid. They're just playing with this at the moment. Same thing happening over at ARM.

Could IAG snap up Malaysian Airlines for nothing?

Another awful start to the week, over 1% taken off the share price already after the normal 1% spike at open - draws the buyers in for the shorts to take control.

Looking at a fifth straight month of substantial declines.

My 322 stop looks likely to get hit.

Why would Easyjet bounce nearly 10% this week yet this goes nowhere?

Disappointing week for IAG, no bounce from the huge falls last week yet easy jet bounced 7% over the week and was one of the Ftse's biggest gainers.

Lots of positives however with the traffic growth forecast of 5% pa, record numbers out of heathrow, cost savings at Iberia and with Spanish growth set to take off over the next few years could see big returns coming through. Option of the A320's being converted into a firm order shows sign's of strength and confidence in the business going forward.

See what next week brings but getting ever closer to the results on the 1st, hope my long doesn't get stopped out till then at least!

Currently down 20% YTD, down nearly 30% since Feb high, results should give direction and explain maybe why the company has lost nearly a third of its value since feb.

2NGH - I held them but sold at around 430 a couple of months back. Think the fall has been over-done and wondering where it's going. May bounce aroud around a bit.

IAG unaffected by the incident.

Only have one route close to the area which is a daily Heathrow Kiev flight. This flight is also now under review.

No routes over the Ukraine then.....this world has gone Barmy...50 years ago all kept local.....with the great wonders of technology in the wrong hand this is what the world has come to....bloody sad...wait till they start the dirty bombs...that will deflate London prices...Scotish castles should rise fast thou..

would think any company in the private jet world would be a very good investment...if they are listed..

Plane shot down over Ukraine by separatists explains the sudden fall.

MH17 Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Spreadbets for the above trade FG.

Have a similar strategy to Peny who bought in last week.

If it falls to 322 will buy the shares.
