07/5/2020 11:34 | m1k.Just ignore monty.its the same repetative rubbish over and over again.747's will probably never fly again."Won't fly untill a vaccine. It's a long time ago I got my A level Maths, and maybe a bit rusty, but lets say like testing we inoculate 100000 a day, very, very unlikey but still, that would equate to 1m in 10 days.As the population of the UK is 66m my rusty maths would suggest that would take nearly 2 years. So (for those left) cabin crew with no prospect of Monty 5 times a year for at least 2 years, will take a bit of the pain away. | 962962
07/5/2020 11:29 | It wasn't a bailout and was available to all UK airlines, which is why IAG took the 300m. Interestingly Cruz said " There is no Government bailout standing by for BA", which is technically correct but morally splitting hairs. It will be interesting to see what Walsh has to say to the Transport Select Committee on the 11th May.....if he turns up. I see liquidity has increased to 10B according to the RNS. | m1k3y1
07/5/2020 11:18 | Looks like IAG did take a loan from the government before 12k was announced Clever they can say even after that we need to cut costs | jailbird

07/5/2020 10:40 | Monty ......you are completely wrong....there is substantial pent up demand and flights will be packed as soon as the borders open. | m1k3y1
07/5/2020 10:36 | BoE warns today that the deepest recession in UK history is on the cards. IAG ugly RNS today with grim prospects. WW extending stay as CEO until 24 Sept 2020 AGM to do more of the ugly stuff required. Good that he is doing it, bad that it is needed. Writing on the wall for IAG shareholders with £29 bn short term and long term liabilities and £11 bn contracted liabilities to buy planes. Its £24 bn asset values are wilting, along with the £11 bn contracted planes. Next stop 5p restructuring in July 2021. Maybe you should continue holding until then as you did not sell at 225p when it was obviously doomed so you must be masochists. Enjoy the relentless pain over the next 14 months until IAG ceases to be listed. You are about to pay a further 184p for that pain. Cheaper than a dominatrix if your stake is small enough, I guess? All imho. DYOR | silkstag
07/5/2020 10:32 | Problem is no one in their right mind will fly until vaccine. One kilometre queue to get on a 747, having a laugh. | montyhedge
07/5/2020 10:29 | The results are terrible but as expected and they have taken prudent steps to stabilise the business in my opinion.Closing out the fuel hedging contracts is painful but necessary. It looks like they are well funded for another 15 months or so at current burn rates assuming no change in current revenues. The 50% revenue figure for the full year looks overly optimistic to me and must indicate that they are projecting increased revenue per passenger from July onwards forwards of some 40% or there abouts. | lufty
07/5/2020 10:27 | I see 110p, demand not back normal until 2023 if they are lucky, to me no dividend for 4 years. Sorry bulls can't see an investment case. | montyhedge

07/5/2020 08:44 | Today is going better than I thought, day before bank holiday, weekend of big announcements on civil liberties, TUI down 9%, US Global Jets in the 1200's. All that vs KFC has opened near me, no queue at the supermarkets anymore, shorter commute and US opening up even though cases are still rising. | arai
