Some companies have announced that part of their effort to carefully husband cash resources their executives and directors will take a 25% pay cut for 6 months. Imo, any bailout should demand the same at least.

Yeah. We're pretty much just tracking US market now as traders don't know what to do. Keep seeing people arguing about 5k support level on the ftse at the moment. It's irrelevant. US will drag us through if it happens. We go up and down when they do. As far as airline support goes it's on the table. No one said it was coming today. Don't know where that's come from. Wait and see.

In my experience when a user of these forums says something is nailed on the forces of the universe conspire to make sure it doesn't happen!

ham....7pm every day. Too late for me .

Watford.....apparently some announcement for airline sector tomorrow but I haven't heard anything about it as yet.
Spanish have offered 100B to businesses but if BoJo offers financial support to IAG, they would be foolish not to accept it .

I hear that BA have already served HR1 notices to the Unions.

For Monty from the Guardian's live updates: "Britons in Spain have been urged by the Foreign Office to return before 24 March when all Spanish hotels close.
In a statement, it said:

The Spanish government have confirmed that all hotels will close in Spain from Tuesday 24 March.
We therefore advise British travellers in Spain to contact their tour operator or airline as soon as possible, to arrange their return journey home before this date."

And after the support, you still have to deal with the fact that no-one is flying.
Recession is nailed on, even Trump admitted that is likely yesterday.
I would be looking at 2008 lows in prices or any lower lows since to get a possible base for share prices.

Will wait with interest to see what the Gov offers the Airlines and Airports. Suspect there will be conditions, for examples end to share buybacks, suspension of dividends,
review of senior leadership remuneration packages.
