09/3/2020 17:44 | Italian style lock down, with trains still running between Milan and Rome seems not to be working as today their number of deaths from coronavirus has increased by 97. | ![]() loganair

09/3/2020 17:32 | Sounds like next stage of large scale self isolation if any symptoms is being warned of by the PM and CMO in a couple of weeks time maybe. | ![]() hamhamham1
09/3/2020 17:02 | Looking forward it may prove that the transatlantic routes fall victim to the virus coupled with perception of fear. | ![]() up just a little bit

09/3/2020 16:37 | If this proves the case, weakness against IAG below 394p risks proving messy, signalling the risk of further reversal to 334p. If broken, secondary calculates down at 222p.Despite being a truly shambolic reversal suggestion - a 50% reduction on current - this risks not being the end of the story as "bottom" works out at somewhere between 100p and 138p ultimately. | ![]() nw99
09/3/2020 16:22 | Yip, if 394 goes then 222 next support and we haven't even reached peak virus | ![]() milliecusto

09/3/2020 15:15 | Yeah! For all the talk of hiding figures it's funny who you really need to pay attention to. I don't really buy into the idea that China was hiding figures anyway. I think it suited them better to expose it and create a panic. Of course many people won't have come forward but that's hardly the fault of the Chinese government. I for one certainly wouldn't go marching into a GP if I thought it meant 2 weeks in quarantine. This is why I think it's probably less lethal than we're giving it credit for. Loads of folk will have just dealt with this themselves. | ![]() dround87

09/3/2020 14:54 | Italy has the highest number of 65s in Europe and the second highest in the world as a percentage of population. In Italy the elderly take a far higher and active part in life then any other country in Europe. | ![]() loganair
09/3/2020 14:49 | Cautious optimism. There will be some days worse than expected, some better, but it does SEEM to be stabilised around 40-50 extra a day. A week should give us a clue as to whether it is going exponential. Just an observation, but it appears those European nations practicing double peck welcome/greetings seem to have been hardest hit. Pure speculation and observation, but odd that Italy and France have been particularly hard hit. The French, with their experiences in Western Africa and the Sahet will I guess get on top of this pretty quickly. My experience with them there was no double peck greeting and “fist bump” replacing hand shakes in country. I’m putting it down to all of those hands on Pizza dough. Also, a lot of older people retire to northern Italy, particularly the areas hit, perhaps explaining the pretty bad Mort rate. | ![]() smithys2019
09/3/2020 14:25 | At these levels you can't really say that. I certainly expected to be further along though. Probably a good thing people are so paranoid. | ![]() dround87
09/3/2020 14:17 | That is a smaller increase that over weekend so seems that we are containing it better than most countries. Sounds bad but was pleasantly surprised increase was relatively small | ![]() watfordhornet
09/3/2020 14:15 | We've just jumped to 319 too. It'll be around 1000 by mid next week surely? As incubation periods end for more and more people | carter633
