10pc drop next week perfectly feasible. But I would love to hear you elaborate on your theory. Just let me grab my tin foil hat.

Over 7,000 flights have been canceled by the Lufthansa group for the course of March. Over half of these flight cancellations are from Lufthansa’s main hub of Frankfurt, with the remainder from Munich.

75 routes are affected from Frankfurt, with 65 from Munich.

rally fabricated by the Fed.for how long?the market will eventually get down to the level that reflects the economy and right now the world economy is seriously threatened by the presence of this corona virus.Mr trump is relying on the Dow hitting 30k to justify his reelection but this corona virus may be his undoing.20k more likely if this virus is still around come November and a world recession.

OPEC not reaching agreement on controlling oil production should benefit airlines.

spacedust.....you said "the spoke today was purely orchestrated for big boys to get out"

Can you explain how this happens please.

I certainly hope IAG don't touch the 737 max 8 ... That's about regaining the confidence of both the passengers and the crews. That's a long way off... As far as Norwegian is concerned I agree... BA can hoover up a lot of their business. If they fail, IAG will surely be one of the major beneficiaries

Mikey, Norwegian has been on its @rss since it massively expanded. A hugely doomed Business model.

IAG have the liquidity and ability to manoeuvre and hoover up Norwegian once this all settles down. Their 787 lease agreements combined with 737 Max order book (which IAG are looking to fleet upgrade to) gives IAG a carte Blanche to hoover up their capacity post Corona. Very few airline groups have the liquidity to do that.

In 2008 the FTSE fell to 4434... yes a completely different scenario but nevertheless we could still have a long way to fall yet!

Dow could fall another 1000 pts. Oil down almost 10%

It's so obvious that the spoke today was purely orchestrated for big boys to get out. This was the final chance for them to sell. From Monday the decline will be relentless

graham ........comparing Norwegian to IAG is like comparing chalk with cheese.
Norwegian has been struggling for months and months, if not years.

Does downgrade of Norwegian have implications for IAG??
(Sharecast News) - Shares of Norwegian Air tumbled on Friday as Pareto Securities downgraded its rating on the stock to 'hold' from 'buy', citing concerns about liquidity and the impact of the coronavirus.
Pareto, which slashed its price target on Norwegian to NOK15 from NOK50, said that with the spread of Covid-19, risks have "clearly" increased for airlines as demand fades.

Just goes to show when this is over IAG will be one of the fastest movers out there. Build a stake while you can.
