Results look good, probably as expected. The share price is already up about 20p since last month.

Revenues up over 8% and a strong forward statement which is key. Trading through summer and beyond very encouraging. Net debt down substantially in 1Q.

Funds at the ready if Fridays 1Q numbers fail to impress which is always possible. However, glancing up today from Kew Gardens it was good to see a large number of BA flights overhead coming into Heathrow Airport (fully loaded hopefully). Fingers crossed.

Fighting over TAP and ITA is like picking which leg you'd prefer to be amputated. I'd rather have TAP but it's far from a solid airline.

Looks like you are right that a comment at about lunchtime by Michael O'Leary saying that "summer ticket prices were expected to be lower than previously anticipated" That may have been the cause of the fall after a strong share price rally earlier. Well that goes against our own experience recently with BA where prices keep rising the longer one takes to book. A planned trip to Venice in September has gone up by at least 10% since a month ago. Pricing is always based on demand and a few friends have had a similar experience when booking ahead. Very rarely does it pay to delay booking ahead but one can get lucky. One takes ones chance I guess.

I still think that we will get some positive momentum after Fridays 1Q figures and if there is a Gaza agreement that would be an added bonus. Fingers crossed.

A little more on Ryan Air O'Leary comment which caused the tumble across the airline UK/European sector this afternoon..
Apparently he thought pricing would be up 5% to 10% this summer due to a number of European Airlines unable to meet demand due to planes (Airbus) being grounded for maintenance. Now seeing prices heading for flat to 5%. So maybe some more qualified than me to comment may have a view on any impact on IAG. Personally doubt it as BA is always our preferred flyer than Ryan Air. Aircraft availability this summer is likely to remain tight.

Added a few at 175p and expect some recovery once we see progress on Israel / Gaza talks which hopefully will end positive for the benefit of the many. Personally think that Biden will push hard for a move towards a meaningful and sustainable peace, with support from Arab neighbours/partners.

I guess it is caused by Egypt warning Israel over RAFAH invasion. Biden will not be pleased so expect a lot of diplomacy over next few hours.
