03/12/2019 14:53 | Sorry mate...already voted by post and not for Tories or Labour....can't stand the Tory PM or his bunch of right wing thugs or Corbyn who would ruin the UK economy. I like David Gauke and his type (Amber Rudd/Dominic Grieve etc.)...did you see his Independent push today given with great humour and intelligence...I did like Tobias Ellwood (a Tory) but he rides the fence too often in my opinion. So get lost...you have no clue as to what people really think. Were you at Guildhall yesterday for that brief service to two really decent/forward thinking people who lost their lives on London Bridge? I think not, you twerp. | cyberian
03/12/2019 14:39 | Typical view from a Tory who thinks more about his shares than dividing the wealth made by a greedy employer. | applepieinthesky
03/12/2019 13:59 | figooner...you maybe right with your views as the share price has had a fair run recently, but the airline industry is still carrying some weak participants, and IAG really does sell on a very low PE ratio compared to many of its peers. Then you have the yield attraction...on the BALPA issue well they appear to have recommended it quite strongly after winning a few significant concessions through ACAS. With current uncertainties the pilots must realise the damage they could inflict if they went against their Union...I personally think that they would be very isolated and there would be great anger with their flying public. They must see that they would harm their own security as I sense IAG would resist any further attempt to negotiate for any improvement. The benefit to an agreed settlement would safeguard and help those of us that have in good faith flights booked ahead, which would give us at least a 3 year window that our travel plans will not be pulled, and be effectively protected. Disputes like the SWR and the RMT are a nightmare, and now with Eurostar cancelling loads of trains, the public are losing a lot of patience...the RMT action is quite extraordinary, and unacceptable. | cyberian
03/12/2019 13:29 | US futures at (250). FFS. C'mon general election. Deliver the right result. | wilc42
03/12/2019 12:32 | For all of the sensible reasons that have been made on this BB, no-one really expects a pilot strike at this point - surplus pilots looking for new employment etc. So I'd imagine that has now been fully priced in after the huge run-up in share price recently. So I'll go for no strike confirmed 560p, otherwise a correction back towards 440p. | fjgooner
03/12/2019 12:15 | Should get pilot vote Friday I would say, if yes onwards to 615p by Xmas if no 495p are you a bull or bear? | montyhedge
03/12/2019 11:33 | Friday I would say. | montyhedge
03/12/2019 11:07 | Easyjet opened higher but the French 4 day strike starting late tomorrow not helping as with IAG. Seems like the French are in a bit of a bind with Trump slamming Macron over the latter's stupid comments over NATO and Turkey. Guess he has to back off as the strikes in France will continue beyond the initial 4 days. Here, whether one likes it or not Corbyn is toast, and cannot see the Labour Party making a recovery. So hopefully good for IAG and the markets, and the resolution of the BALPA vote. | cyberian
03/12/2019 10:57 | Strikes coming up | applepieinthesky
03/12/2019 10:19 | Generally down Monty. EZJ down 1.2% so far. Still waiting for divi from HL. | m1k3y1
03/12/2019 09:48 | Looks like bears betting on pilots saying no we are striking. | montyhedge
03/12/2019 09:13 | Ned - not sure what the Labour Party has got to do with the BA pilots strike action. I'd also point out South Western Rail drivers have no issue with striking. Maybe Labour should talk to the RMT? | toon1966
03/12/2019 00:04 | Sorry about my earlier Divi comment as it has turned-up in my account Monday after all. | cyberian
02/12/2019 22:17 | I’m guessing the pilots are under pressure to accept the deal in more ways than one, two being the Labour Party would not want a strike called or announced before the GE. Just my thoughts ..... | nedhammers1
02/12/2019 20:25 | Think my div will be reinvested tomorrow a few extra shares. | chiefbrody
