which 4 bargains are you interested in out of interest.

Yes, but given the price was in the range 30-35p before the announcement, that is hardly likely. Any offer would be in the 50-70p range imho. That is too low!

AT the end of the day your probably right, but if you look at it from another angle, if say we were offered £1.20 which for me would be worth over 200k, that would be a nice amount to re-invest in this market, i reckon i could pick up 4 bargains that are well-undervalued. and top up on other investments.

So its a great time to have a pot of money.

Lets face it - this company has the potential to be a £100m market cap company within the next 2-5 years. It would be very disappointing to be taken out now unless the offer was too good to refuse. A 30% strategic investment at this stage, is a different matter altogether provided it is not dilutive. That would give Bartronic a foothold which would enable it to consider bidding later on if it likes what it sees.

The Hyderabad-based company will enter Europe through acquisition of an existing player and is in talks with few other companies. However, does not intend to make a move before the year-end.

if bartronic aretalking to them they would have said so, but would have indicated that no offer had been made as yet... pump and pump again.

Having been at meetings all day yesterday I have only now had the opportunity to read yesterday's statement.

The following is very interesting.

"Intercede can confirm that, at this stage, no contact has been made by Bartronic
expressing an interest in making an offer for the Company.

Intercede will make further announcements on this subject when it is appropriate to do so".

The statement did not say that no contact had been made. Instead it said no contact expressing an interest in making an offer.

And then to follow it with the last sentence that says "further announcements will be made when appropriate" certainly suggests that they are in some form of talks with someone.

A very strange announcement which leaves the door wide open to further news.

Higher next week me thinks possibly to 55-60p where it will rest until we see the results and news that they are in discussions which might lead to a full bid.

Topvest as you asked, take a look at TAIH. they have just started to pick up again and there results will come at the end of June. Have been waiting for a US/EU licence to sell a cancer drug and when that comes the rise in price will be more dramatic than here. Just depends on how long you are prepared to wait.

This sector is certainly fairly hot at the moment. As a long term holder, Intercede is my preferred stock in this sector as I think they have bags of potential.
What about other companies?
I think ISPT now look an interesting proposition and added a few this week. Opsec are also good, but both are not quite as high growth or anywhere near as high margin as Intercede.
Any thoughts from others on what other UK companies have potential?

It would be a bad time to be taken out now as the penny is just starting to drop on how lucrative some of their contracts are likely to be. A bid in 12-24m would be much better.

After being invested in IGP for nearly 4 years, I initially felt disappointed that IGP could get taken over at this early stage. But after doing a little reading about Bartronics,

it's possible their shares could be even more lucrative than IGPs'. Wish I could find a shareprice chart for Bartronics. The main shares aren't showing on the Bombay exchange:

but strangely it shows pink sheet ADRs on the OTC Bulletin Board:

if it happens im sure it will be for much more. the progress the co has made in 24 months is astounding, from 2 projects to 10.

Looks good. I, for one, would be very disappointed if we get taken out when things are starting to come together. Any takeout would need to be at a good price (i.e. well over 50p, possibly 70p) although a strategic investment is also a possibility.

It's certainly looking good considering we not only held onto yesterdays gains, but we made another couple of pence on the bid today, and the RNS didn't clarify the situation, just let investors make their own mind up.

More progress next week for sure.

the last trade at 4.12pm for 10k shares was bought for almost 3p OVER the offer price.

offer price was 45p and it was bought for almost 48p, someone sure wanted the stock badly imho.

looks like another cracking week in prospect next week.

Am not concerned about the price volatility on less than £50k of action. Some guy could have bought in at 30p, and set a price target of 45p whilst he was on holiday, presuming this would move steadily as it did, only then to jump.

More relevant is the last trade for a measly 10,000 shares that had to pay a premium to secure the stock. Thats the key. If the MM's had a load of stock, they wouldn't try and squeeze premiums out of people. They would earn more by tightening the spread and seeing more trading. Flat price today will do me fine ahead of more action next week, which is coming.

i do not buy into short stock etc..MMs are here to make a mkt, but they are also
there to make money, so changing NMS and making stock available is on their terms - and that could be they have or maybe not have stock. If they need it, they usually find it...they are here to fool u and I to make the the mkt in order to obtain or sell stock on.

It is not easy to second guess the MMs...but having the tools can help.

At 10.15am this morning I tried a few dummy buys and could get at least 25,000 at the stated offer price.
Lo and behold out came the RNS and the morning's gains were wiped out in an instant.
People have since considered the wording of the RNS and as at 2.45pm I couldn't even get a firm online deal for buying just 1000 shares.
I have been dealing for a number of years but I am learning all the time.
Most of us seemed to think the MMs were short of stock, but they soon found a bucketful just before the RNS, despite the fact that nobody appeared to have sold any.
Perhaps someone with a little more knowledge than I could take the time to explain the actions of the MMs.
Thnks

They didn't say they hadn't received an approach, they just said they had not received an approach from Bartronics, specifically.

Why are the highlighted bits necessary, unless a) you know something is about to happen b) has happened and you have been asked by the company in question to keep quiet about it until it is the right time to tell the market.

This is a dead giveaway.
