24/4/2008 09:47 | INTERESTING bit on usa airports. sounds like a job for the same twic team, ibm igp etc. Airport employees are likely to be one of the next large groups to undergo biometric identification checks. | ![]() igoe104
22/4/2008 12:32 | Real ID is/will be done on a state by state basis so lots of different contracts. | ![]() wjccghcc
22/4/2008 11:39 | Ok WJ no worries. Think they are linking the upgrade of drivers licence's and border control access to the Real ID thru RFID so it seems Real ID will be as advanced as it can possibly be. IGP need to concentrate on realistic projects though and Im concerned they are biting off more than they can chew with so many projects and such a small workforce. The German Health Card with Gemalto is a real posible winner for IGP and efforts should be placed here to make sure this is the next big contract win after TWIC. Real ID will probably go to Bell ID or Accidentivity IMO. | ![]() 237gmoney
22/4/2008 10:22 | The Lockheed contract referred to is the FBI NGI (Next Generation Identification) project which is basically upgrading their bad guys database system. Don't think that would need a CMS/IDMS. Real ID on the other hand is right up IGP's street depending on how flexible/advanced the individual states want to make the cards. | ![]() wjccghcc
22/4/2008 10:08 | New article about Real ID and TWIC. If I read it correctly Lockhead Martin have won the contract for Real ID in February which if it goes the same way as the TWIC project things could be looking up for IGP. of course a long way off as it wont start until 2009 but the TWIC should be almost finished by then and I guess that is the thinking behind it that once one finishes, the next one starts. Hopefully some news in May about UK ID cards here and then the Full year results in June will show us where this company is going in the next 12-18 months. | ![]() 237gmoney
21/4/2008 11:58 | YES your right. the good thing about this project its on-going and will evenually be expanded to 6 million +, i looking forward to seeing details on some of the other projects igp are going to be involved in. igp are in a massive growth market, so we should be well rewarded in the medium term. | ![]() igoe104
21/4/2008 11:02 | Thanks igoe. Human nature means a lot of the port workers will sign on for a card closer to the deadline, but a million have to have one by September so it's looking good for Intercede. A very high profile deal I think. | ![]() howdy do da
21/4/2008 10:16 | Latest news on the twic contract. | ![]() igoe104
17/4/2008 14:35 | An old article but one of my favourites recopied here to highlight the excellent business this firm gets involved in: Intercede have announced that Intercede's MyID system was used to manage the identities of 8,000 diplomats, conference delegation members, Latvian and NATO supporting units, security personnel and volunteers at the NATO Summit in Riga, 27-29 November, 2006. The Riga Summit of 2006 attracted key NATO heads of State including George W. Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair. The Riga Summit of 2006 was the first summit involving Latvia as a full member of the NATO Alliance. This solution was primed by Oberthur Card Systems and delivered to the Ministry of Defence of Latvia in partnership with Intercede and Fargo. Intercede provided a complete system to personalize, issue and verify Oberthur smart card-based identity cards at this major international event. Each Oberthur smart card was colour-coded according to role and security clearance, printed with a photograph of the card holder, secured with holograms and other security printing features to prevent forgery, and the electronic chip was personalized to enable secure cardholder verification. A compelling aspect of the solution was the ability to both request batches of smart cards from Oberthur's centralized card production service and to also securely produce locally personalized cards on Fargo desktop printers. This enabled the bulk production of cards ordered in advance and an on-demand issuance capability for late registrations from the same system. Key features of the system include: - The MyID registration workstations were smart card protected to prevent the issuance of cards by unauthorized people - Bulk data import of card requests into the MyID from other systems - Immediate face-to-face issuance of emergency replacement cards - Instant identity card verification at up to 20 NATO Summit buildings and checkpoints using MyID card validation stations. Each verification station was securely connected to the MyID verification server using secure channels over the public internet. In a press conference held on 29 November 2006, NATO Secretary General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, praised the Latvian Government for their flawless organization of the Riga Summit. "With 26 Heads of State in attendance, conference security was of paramount concern. I am therefore delighted that the Latvian Government chose Intercede and our partners to provide a critical piece of the security infrastructure for this event," said Richard Parris, Chairman and Chief Executive, Intercede. "Following our recently announced successes in the US Federal market, this demanding project further demonstrates that Intercede's MyID smart card and identity management system has the flexibility and scalability to meet the most critical government security requirements." | ![]() howdy do da

17/4/2008 12:11 | TWIC Update...just one of the 10 major project IGP are involved in these days... April 2008 At the end of March, nearly 40,000 TWIC cards had been activated, with an additional 200,000 individuals enrolled and another 170,000 pre-enrolled in the TWIC program. With approximately 95 centers operational, over 60% of the total schedule to open, TSA estimates that the average enrollment time is under 10 minutes. For more information on the TWIC program, as well as on the pre-enrollment and enrollment process, visit the TSA's Web site. | ![]() 237gmoney

16/4/2008 16:46 | Aphro, are you saying you have a buyer trying to pick up stock at a slight discount to the offer? I didn't understand, sorry. | ![]() howdy do da
16/4/2008 16:43 | jailbird I have been on the bid all day for 25k at 33p with the request of an offer for stock nearby. No luck I am afraid. | aphrodites
16/4/2008 14:43 | Time will tell. I rate the management team very highly and am confident some or all of the 10 projects will push the firm into healthy profitability next year. Just my personal opinion. dyor. | ![]() howdy do da
15/4/2008 09:08 | IM hoping igp continue with the health-card work in the uk with gemalto, and continue onto other healthcare projects, which at the moment its about 4 other european projects, germany being the main one, with the project involving over 84 million folks. | ![]() igoe104
15/4/2008 09:01 | There's no liquidity and there won't be much this side of the annual report or concrete news that the 10 projects will definitely propel this into healthy profits. | ![]() howdy do da
15/4/2008 06:45 | jailbird There might have been 25,000 on offer but only at 35p on a 3p spread and in a very weak market. Any seller would not be showing his hand unless he has an ulterior motive and that is to BUY! | aphrodites
14/4/2008 18:52 | Dunno who the CFD company is behind the link - margin varies between companies. IG has it on 25% margin | ![]() felix99
14/4/2008 18:13 | It says on Jailbird's link, the margin for IGPD is 70%. If you add on the financing costs, I can't see the point in bothering with IGP CFDs. May as well just buy the shares outright. Though I think probably the main reason for having CFDs is to enable traders to short sell the shares. But no one in their right mind is going to risk shorting IGP! | accumulat0r |
