All very bullish and carval are a major partner to have.

Shrewd,

If you want a handle on the potential revs from Carval read my last update. It contains the same directly quoted from RB. It is clear to me the official forecast is set up to underperform with built-in insurance against Carval underperforming on what is anticipated, and therefore guard against a profit warning.

I know but not a bad start and the new strategies comment was what gripped me.

Even if the esg fund is only £1bn and we are on 0.5% it’s still £5m profit share. That’s one fund on its own. I’d read a while back there could be several wit carval alone.

Listening to the preso I suspect this fca connection will force a few hands of others that have been pontificating. Superb move that’s been underestimated I suspect.

I’m not really a techie but the preso was very simply explained and well put over for those that haven’t listened.

Sounds like INSG really do have a quality offering and a little traction could see a sea change.

CarVal raise money on their own acount tho, their last opportunistic credit fund raised 3.7bn, so while direct investment via AB is welcome, it is only a part of the story.

Trying to get a handle on what carval funds could generate.
Having read the SEC filing the last paragraph states that Alliance will transfer $10bn into carval account of which $750m will be allocated to carvals new strategies.

Wonder how much of that is going into the new esg / INSG lead fund?

Agree that would be a nice start.

Just my thoughts but from such a low base once carval revenues kick in it could rerate substantially.

One more fund jv deal which is what they are after listening to the preso and the numbers become exponential.

Very exciting times.

Shrewd,Zak doesn't look too far down the road, mate. It's typically a few weeks. I'd be happy with 30p over a four weeks or so.

The FCA have backed this horse.
RB has backed this horse.

Zak has given us an idea of the goal posts...

I concur this has the smell of a serious inflexion point being reached.

RB for me I’d back every time as long as he’s on the board as a caveat.

We can all be shrewd investors but you need to have sway in the decision making to make a real difference.

'Code Interpreter really is the biggest thing I have seen in AI since GPT-4 (which wasn't that long ago, but still).

It can take 100MB files, do analyses, write and execute code, and give you files as downloads. Not even sure about its limits yet.'

This person ...a professor.... seems rather interesting.

AI Is getting a lot of attention at the moment....both good and bad.

'This 🤯 is a very big 🤯

I have access to the new GPT Code Interpreter. I uploaded an XLS file, no context:

"Can you do visualizations & descriptive analyses to help me understand the data?

"Can you try regressions and look for patterns?"

"Can you run regression diagnostics?"

hazl,

"Charts are not necessarily factual."

Now who is being pedantic? :)

I was referencing the date of the uptrend, which was stated to have begun in February when in fact, it is fact, it started on 24 March. You're not using a US calendar by chance? :)

Charts are factual, but only historically, unless you use paint shop! :)

None of this matters - I'm just being pedantic; what matters is Zak's reading of the chart, not history.

Thought CA made £42m on Hurricane and blocked it from being given away to bondholders. I'm in that man's corner all day long. Let's hope this company is spoken of fondly with hindsight. As aforementioned, I'll take £2 on a sale of it happily
