There was a Trading Update on the 21st March last year, where we were mis-led with ''a rapid acceleration'', given the perilous state of the Company I'd guess every investor here is expecting another around the same time

So many references to AI at the moment!
An interesting article in the Times yesterday by Danny Fortson in San Francisco in the Times. He talks about 'ways in which AI will change all our lives' and yes ChatGPT gets a mention!
Not us yet.

'Highly capable bot armies could empty out call centres'......I am all for getting rid of tedious boring jobs for people....as long as they have a means for earning a living elsewhere.

We will see...everything is going through twists and turns at the moment as we go through yet another revolution of sorts.
IMO

' We regard the advancement of this type of text based analysis as the ideal overlay to our existing repository of machine readable ESG and corporate data. Combining the deep contextual understanding that ChatGPT brings with our highly focused ESG NLP (natural language processing) classifiers will provide differentiation in surfacing the most relevant ESG disclosures, thereby increasing overall analysis and productivity.

Steve Cracknell, Chief Product Officer commented: "Analysing vast volumes of data requires readily accessible machine readable data. Having a strong domain understanding is critical to be able to evaluate the quality of an output. Our machine learning capability, substantial repository and extensive cloud expertise ideally positions Insig AI to benefit from this technological breakthrough."

I mean look at the last announcement!

We could be one of the leading London companies as Steven Cracknell hopes.

'Over recent months, Insig AI plc (AIM:INSG), the data science and machine learning solutions company serving the asset management industry has conducted a series of tests using ChatGPT and other Generative AI models. As a result, we are now able to integrate the latest AI capabilities from Google, Open AI and the most advanced models such as ChatGPT and GPT-3.'

Here we go...that's where I read it.

This extract sums up more how I feel. Amazon started off that way and has survived the dotcom boom and bust.

' Of course, AI is no passing fad. The fact that many of the world’s largest tech companies are embracing artificial intelligence is evidence of that. (We’re looking at you, Microsoft, Meta and IBM.)

Long pointed out that BigBear.ai generates about 90% of its revenue from the US government, a relatively stable customer that will continue to have a need for artificial intelligence technology for the long haul.

“We’re a modern data mining company,” she said, noting that the company is both a partner with and competitor to Big Data leader Palantir.

And just as the dot-com bubble paved the way for companies like Amazon (AMZN), eBay (EBAY) and Priceline owner Booking Holdings (BKNG) to emerge from the rubble as stronger, larger and more diversified businesses, several AI upstarts could also survive today’s troubles and thrive in the long term.

Yes Banshee I read that or similar elsewhere.
We often follow America and I have seen no 'bubbble' here.
The word 'hype' is unfortunate because I see it as more of a change that's here to stay.

Sometimes these things aren't apparent until after the event but even if it is game changer it can sometimes struggle at first.
I don't mind waiting to see, with just a toe in the water, and at such a low I am
very interested to see what happens next.
Director purchases are often a good sign.

Extracts

Shares in small artificial intelligence groups have soared this year on the back of the hype surrounding ChatGPT and other generative AI models, leading analysts to warn of a “speculative” bubble in the making.

"BuzzFeed’s stock rose 150 per cent in a day in late January after chief executive Jonah Peretti said “AI inspired content” would begin appearing on the company’s website later this year."

"Shares in SoundHound AI, which specialises in “speech to meaning” technology, have jumped 94 per cent so far this month. Shares in C3.ai and BigBear.ai have shot up 103 per cent and 561 per cent respectively since the start of the year"

And you can't tell me that the number of shares in issue doesn't make a difference.

Look at URU this morning....there's an example of buyer beware in any company with so few shares!
It's not to say it's a good or bad company, I haven't looked, but so few shares in issue will send it on a merry dance and exaggerate any movements on news.
