Let's explore this bad feeling you have towards me PJ1....rather than the company.

What is your biggest fear..... that I will talk the company up mercilessly, and then you will be left still underwater miserably?

Can I suggest that in this climate that isn't going to happen?
What I hope for is a rise on it's own merits, when either results come out showing that they are in fact making money, or indeed the whole AI thing gets taken up by more and more companies lifting the sector as a whole.
The simultaneous effect of that would in fact show that Richard Bernstein's confidence is warranted.

Times says....
'It is only eight weeks old but the AI chatbot phenomenon has already spawned
a new generation of promising businesses'.

I don't get into a company lightly when the market is so dire.
I look for things that point the way forward to a disruptive, dynamic industry that might lead us to a new way of working.
Whether that will be better or worse for us as a society is a different matter.
I suspect you might have done similar when you first became involved.
As I did in fact in PRSM when it first arrived.
Believe me, there were a lot of naysayers then when I plodded on regardless.

I don't like to think of what Judi's habits might be , hearing their comparisons...the mind boggles!
Joking (one hopes) aside... we are where we are as they say and you either move on... if you feel you've made a bad decision or keep researching and be supportive surely?

Trusting for some supportive and honest exchange both good and bad in the future!
Thanks again noujay for the above.

Few selected notes from AllianceBernstein earnings call for Q4. Does offer sense of scale as well as useful indicators that CarVal management fees are higher than their average - which they have referenced previously. Amidst what was a challenging year for them CarVal seems a bright spot and one which they have high hopes for. AB scale/marketing will certainly help drive their products to a broader audience. Anyway may be useful to the discourse here. GLA"Our institutional pipeline declined to $13.2 billion at quarter end with $12 billion funded in the quarter, including $1.5 billion of AB CarVal fundings including Credit Value Fund V, CLO-8 and Clean Energy.""Looking to 2023, we have a robust set of new product launches planned including, AB CarVal clean energy, credit value and transportation. Our proprietary direct indexing strategy grew by 62% year-over-year, and 11% sequentially while ESG AUM grew by 6% organically.""Our effective fee rate improved for the second straight year influenced by both the mix of organic growth and the strategic acquisition of CarVal.""We are very focused on maximizing the opportunity set with AB CarVal and completing the joint venture with SocGen and we'll continue to make investments in key areas such as China, ETFs, and insurance.""while there are some headwinds in the private market, we're still very excited about what we're doing with CarVal. CarVal they have a number of new strategies and newer vintage strategies that are up and launching fundraise this year, which we're seeing pretty good receptivity toward.""The things I would highlight are, one, we are very encouraged by the momentum with the Clean Energy Fund II at CarVal, which we're going to close this year. The second vintage will bring much more assets than the first vintage and that is our nice foray into the broader retail market as well."Full 38 pages for those who want it:https://seekingalpha.com/article/4576989-alliancebernstein-holding-l-p-ab-q4-2022-earnings-call-transcript

I understand why some people are fed up here.
In contrast, however, I have had a very helpful exchange from a long standing investor that wasn't a bit accusatory.

I don't need to explain myself to anyone but to the rest of the posters here, I will be honest and say that some shares I have held more than twenty years, some I have held from almost the float, until they were bought out.... like PRSM and some I have held for five minutes.

I expect that I am like many.
Each to their own.

I will judge this one, according to it's merits as time goes on.

So why invest in INSG? Illiquidity is hardly any criteria is it? which seems to be the criteria you use plus a blue sky connection to a new voice controlled google.

Basically, what is your investment criteria here? Pro's and Con's??

Why is the share price down 75% from RTO.... its NOT because of illiquidity?

You obviously don't know me and I feel your accusation unwarranted so
I don't feel particularly like responding.

There are a few negatives here but at least the future ....to me anyway... looks more promising.

I wait to see.

This has been a reasonably informative and balanced thread so far, similar to how ADVFN used to be 12 years ago.

So, if you are going to pump and dump it, why not set up your own thread, especially as you are blue and can moderate it?

I tried to get a small stake and not be influenced by billboards and I see there has been quite a bit of bad feeling here.
I think that might be true across any number of shares in this climate just now though there are a few specifics here.
I await any positivity with the car val exercise and am interested to see how it goes.

Elrico?
An interview with Richard Bernstein....what a good idea!
Why did he put £s of his hard earned into this company?

Must have a look.
Thanks.

Ha ha I am trying not to talk about it so I can add oh well.
My enthusiasm gets it's way.

Don't worry it's the few shares in issue as I explain above in my opinion that causes it to rise quickly or drop quickly.
This will be an exciting stock I believe.

It is interesting in that directors have skin in the game...Richard Bernstein has 14.44% for example.

It also has not that many shares available ...because not many in issue and not many publicly available.

This usually results in a volatile share price, reacting quickly as it has this morning on not that many trades.

But it is the whole Chat GPT thing that has taken off very immediately from what I gather.
Somebody suggested it could be a bubble.
I suggest it's only just begun!
Interesting piece in the Sunday Times last week.

'Just eight weeks since the public launch of Chat GGP a language system that can pump out poetry, compose song lyrics, write code and conduct a conversation - companies are rolling out products that incorporate it'.
'Rivals are scrambling to ship AI competing services.Start ups are drawing in venture capital worth hundreds of millions at eye watering valuations as investors chase what many bet is a society altering shift....'

Thanks for sharing. There appears to be a growing sense that after a difficult start to life post RTO Insig will shortly begin to evidence its true potential.
