Way too much given the revenue and the fact i nsig contributes a part of thta. Take away the insig revenue and what have you got? £10m sign on the is what this is.sold in the 80s and glad I did. Gla

Structured up to £10m - seems fairly clear it's not going to remain loss making and if they ultimately do pay the full price then it will have earned its valuation. Drive further performance from the synergies and it will pay its own tab.Certainly seems highly complementary both in terms of existing use (Insig are a client so those costs fall away) and also broadening the product range, not to mentioning extending the bandwidth and, presumably, cross-selling Insig products into existing FDB clients. The Filing DB filing piece looks very interesting.

The payment is based on the profitability of Fdb….great synergy between the two companies.

Paying up to £10 million for a loss making company
They must really need the technology as they seem to be paying top top wack for it

Very clever acquisition in my book and good deferred target based terms

FDB systems was founded in 2019 to provide data and data solutions to hedge funds, asset managers and private market investors.

Since then our client base has grown to include some of the most sophisticated investors in the world across a range of different strategies, and with combined AUM in the 100s of billions.

I'm basing it on the cost base I conservatively guestimate they have nowadays with an increased headcount of 29 employees, and thus the amount of money they need to cover that in a quarter to go cash flow +ve,

You're basing that on historical "Insight" figures?

If they are cash flow positive in next quarter as they have indicated they expect that implies what? £600-700k+ in revs for those 3 months?

Insig are receiving unsolicited enquiries on a daily basis .A firm foundation is being laid for future recurring revenues which should start in Q3 2022.Perhaps we will see some “ market reaction “ next Summer.I am very happy with the progress to date and will continue to hold and accumulate …

Hopefully because the Sales team are a pain in the backside..!!!

It's dangerous to read that in, scale it down and it's the same as a pre dragons den candidate getting in front of tesco.

Plus, how many other proof of concepts does this giant have running?

The market reaction says it all..

Why would a European Asset Manager with billions of Euros under management be talking to a relatively tiny Aim listed company unless it had something really special to offer?…..

Don't under estimate the significance of todays RNS. Whilst the value of initial "consultancy" contract may be small, this is one of the potential higher margin clients that was spoken of during the Q&A session that followed the presentation in the recent Investor Meets session

Looks to be a strong commercial appointment. Already been attached to the company for a few weeks so will already be getting on.From the investor presentation today also helpful to hear that they have already converted 40% of the leads in the admission document - which then numbered 11.Separately the slew of October meetings following the AGM has placed 8 at proposal stage in a sales cycle cited as four weeks (with further optimisations due to reduce this timeframe), so seems fair to assume we will be seeing some further contract announcements in fairly short order

Decent/impressive presentation so far. There is a certain mild irony in the fact that a company with a scoring tool that includes best practice and reputation thinks doing its financial PR via a tipsheet is a the way to go.

Oh that old chestnut! What price sensitive information are you assuming? It's funny, because whenever some clown whines about an editorial I've written they always bring up price sensitive information, when they actually mean...I'll be blowed if I'm £35 pa when it should be free. Always ignoring they themselves wouldn't put in 10% of my time for free. Moreover, remain invested when the assumption is the company is corrupt, by the whiners definition!

Looks a good appointment...they seem to have the right product and there is a huge market but you need someone who is used to closing deals especially with large companies. Think this is a step in the right direction in further monetising IP.

Below is an useful read for those invested here. Suggest that anyone without time to absorb the full document flicks to page 8.In the context of the Insig /CarVal partnership it seems very relevant and their observation that partnering up with a specialist (albeit of course Malk are an ESG advisor) is the way forward full fits the strategy here and suggests there are potentially some very exciting times ahead here. IMO at least.https://benefitstreetpartners.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BSP-Malk-ESG-Integration-in-Private-Credit-Sept-2021-FT.pdf

The emphasis in the presentation on their Natural Language Processing technology used prominently in the ESG application (and other areas) makes me think it is this they are thinking of leveraging in other industries such as Pharma. Perhaps in that instance for trawling through journals scientific papers, trials etc. I can see how this might be lucrative, although I can’t work up too much enthusiasm for it at this early stage.

Ah the real Elrico, in his own words, but my point is that the compapny should not be supplying price sensitive information, in this fashion, e.g when the company expects to become cash flow positive (imminently and very impressive for a recently floated AIM startup) really belongs in a trading update available to the market as whole. It is not credible to argue otherwise imo. Background stuff eg about the chairman or technology, future plans etc this way is great
