Ping... you hit it! By the way, Enami... what's your next target? In posts 937 & 9, it was said (by a.n.other) that Goldman Sachs have a target of 861p. Seems somewhat implausible to me given that it's already highly rated.

PS your rights issues... was it UTG?

what are you taking up rights on Enami if you don't mind me asking?

p.s. ISAT has broken past the P&F targets of 656, 658.5 and I guess is heading for the next one up, 722... 807?

I was just thinking that, Enami.... but way above your last profit slice? Well done, I find it difficult to profit slice... I'm in or I'm oot if you know what I mean. This price action must be giving Harbinger the willies though...

Aye just 0.5p short of my target 676 (post 952).
Had a little profit slice here.

Well it's over the long term trend line now and Fib target 676 is close.
Remember what happened when it entered the FTSE100 (19/9 last year) point 3, went XD the next week and fell from 487-300.

Wad... I haven't read anything new. A link to Harbingers RNS was posted recently

Harbinger's intention remains, as set out in the announcement dated 25 July
2008, to make an offer to acquire the entire issued and to be issued share
capital of Inmarsat....

Thanks eipgam, the FRES situation was a bit different, 77% of the shares being owned by one holder and MSCI tracker funds scrabbling to buy at the last minute.

Still I expect that same buying surge on 30 Nov so probably a good time to profit slice.

From The Times July 08

Harbinger already owns 28 per cent of Inmarsat. The hedge fund initiated talks on a bid - thought to be worth at least £2.4 billion - on July 7, but withdrew on Monday, saying it would have to wait for regulatory approval, which could take up to 18 months, before making an offer.

Have they regulatory approval now?

Another broker tip :

On the horizon
Stepping away from mining, one of the stocks we like that has a potential buyer waiting in the wings is Inmarsat, in the telecommunications sector. Harbinger is a major private equity shareholder in Inmarsat, and is looking to consolidate the satellite telephony industry.

Harbinger has previously made an approach for full control of Inmarsat that was unsuccessful, and is now waiting to complete another deal before again looking at future consolidation opportunities in the industry.

In the meantime, Inmarsat continues to deliver decent organic growth in its four main segments: aero, marine, land and leasing. We feel that this justifies its current high valuation multiples, with the potential for earnings to surprise on the upside. The group has solid financials compared with its peers and has good free cash flow generation, helped by the completion of its current capex cycle.

Thanks for that Richard, the MSCI thing is quite significant.

Suspect that the share price will peak at 30 Nov which is the implementation date for the MSCI changes.

"that will be made as of the close of November 30, 2009. These changes result from the November 2009 Semi-Annual Index Review and have been posted on MSCI's web site at"

Same thing happened to FRES which fell a long way after the implementation 29 May.
