Windy.....I don't know where you get your info from....... probably the same broker calling ISAT at £10ps...
FWIW My AV px for AVN is 7.6p appx and it's being bought in the mkt at 8.2-8.4p....if you care to look at the latest trades that went through.
Have a look at the AVN bb, there's substantive analysis to suggest that AVN is developing legs to the upside.
Don't come moaning to me when ISAT goes sub 4quid.......I tried to tell you.....
It's always worrying for shareholders when blueMongo starts posting...... definitely the biggest indicator that it's time to go short.......just ask any long suffering PRM shareholder........

Marshall Wace have reduced their short. Overall reported short position now 6.04%, from previous 6.17%, still high but off the peak of 8.29% reached a couple of weeks ago on 1st Dec. So trend is still to gradually close/reduce shorts.

RSI just over 30, so not as oversold as it was in November.

Discover how Inmarsat redundant systems can boost government SATCOM effectiveness, flexibility and resilience
14 December 2017
Kai Tang, VP, Commercial Strategy & Operations, Inmarsat U.S. Government Business Unit

These are times when the only thing we can predict is unpredictability. From geopolitical threats to natural disasters – events emerge swiftly and unexpectedly, anywhere around the globe. This event-driven reality provides an even more insistent imperative that U.S. government and military users must stand ready to deploy “anytime, anywhere”. They must have access to resilient, robust and secure satellite communications (SATCOM) wherever they are, at a moment’s notice, across the full spectrum of engagement. And, of course, this must be tempered with real expectations of cost-effectiveness and enhanced combat readiness delivered with agility
For Inmarsat, resilience, redundancy and reliability are paramount. While other companies have yet to reach outside of single-region consumer Ka-band and L-band services, we provide guaranteed global connectivity to industries and governments worldwide. This is supported by on-orbit and ground stations redundancy and our Ka/L-band hybrid solution for even greater resilience and frequency diversity.

Resilience and redundancy aspects are embedded within the hardware design of every Inmarsat satellite. Furthermore, we have full flexibility to manage and reallocate beams for optimization of global and mobile network coverage. A holistic global ground network design with a robust Satellite Access Station (SAS) segment meets safety-of-life and mission assurance needs, as well as delivers high network availability demanded by government users. By locating hot-standby SASs in the feeder link footprint, user links can be automatically and transparently handed over in seconds, ensuring resilience against unpredictable hot-spot events.

Enhanced flexibility
The unique combination of the diverse bands and offset coverage of the Inmarsat-4 and Inmarsat-5 systems, as well as planned and future constellations, means that the network is far more resilient at the user end with total weather resilience; reduced sensitivity to look-angle blockage; network continuity during satellite-to-satellite handovers; and terminal equipment redundancy.

As the government seeks to adopt an enterprise-level, integrated SATCOM architecture to fulfill its requirements and enhance flexibility of operations cost effectively, land, aero and maritime users can access our Global Xpress, Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN), SwiftBroadband and FleetBroadband services for dynamic and global missions for optimal redundancy, diversity, protection, scalability and global portability– the ultimate resilience, force-multiplying approach.

In addition, our commercially available, end-to-end capabilities include ground, terminal and space segments, at a much more affordable cost and much faster rate than the current government acquisition model allows. This frees up military members from administering disparate networks, allowing them to focus on critical operations.

Built to government requirements
Inmarsat commits to its government customers, understands their requirements and invests ahead of time to deliver needed capabilities. Our funded and approved investment strategy for the future ensures continued backward compatible operations and assured mobile, global, modernized, innovative SATCOM networks, well into the next generation:

Global Xpress-4 – launched in May 2017, our fourth Inmarsat-5 satellite (I-5 F4) has successfully completed in-orbit testing and adds further capacity to the Global Xpress network, as well as in-orbit redundancy that further upgrades the reliability and resilience of Inmarsat’s service offerings.
European Aviation Network (EAN) – the first of its kind worldwide, the EAN will combine high capacity satellite coverage with a complementary 4G LTE ground network, to provide high-speed passenger Wi-Fi on flights across all European Union states when it goes live in 2018.
Global Xpress-5 – an additional satellite is targeted for launch in 2019 as a Very High Throughput Satellite (V-HTS), providing capacity across the Middle East, Europe and the Indian subcontinent. The payload will seamlessly become part of the Global Xpress network.
Inmarsat-6 – our first satellite to host a unique dual band payload that supports L-band and Global Xpress services. With the first satellite scheduled for launch in 2020, it is designed with technological advances that enable additional capacity and coverage.
Based upon extensive market research and a long-term relationship with the end-user community and government leadership, Inmarsat makes organic, ongoing investments in networks that are fully interoperable with military satellite systems. This includes technology advancements, enhanced capabilities and improved encryption, enabling the augmentation of MILSATCOM anywhere, anytime – the ultimate resilience approach.

Inmarsat Global Xpress supports Hurricane Maria relief efforts

13 December 2017: Following the devastation wreaked by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, Inmarsat partners Satcom Direct and COMSAT worked together to ensure highly reliable satellite communications were immediately available for first responders.

Inmarsat’s Global Xpress service enabled first responders to communicate within minutes of arrival using our rapid mission-critical high-throughput connectivity, allowing public safety, medical and other emergency response teams to swiftly and reliably fulfill their mission.

Global Xpress, the world’s first and only high-throughput commercial Ka-band network available from a single operator, enables first responders to benefit from Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN)-style ease of operation and immediate access to high data rate applications such as high-speed internet, live full-motion video and video teleconferencing.

Effortless connect anywhere
Delivered as a managed subscription service, Global Xpress SATCOM as a Service terminals are ‘out of the box’ ready – set up to service in less than seven minutes. Like a mobile phone service, SATCOM as a Service delivers an always on network and the ability to connect anywhere in the world without additional fees or premiums.

One-touch commissioning automated the process of setting up the Global Xpress terminals, removing the manual network commissioning processes required for traditional VSAT systems.

Both Satcom Direct and COMSAT were able to transport Global Xpress terminals as checked luggage. Once on the ground, the Satcom Direct and COMSAT teams rapidly set up and delivered SATCOM solutions within minutes that were responsive to coverage needs and easy for first responders to operate; essentially providing the first reliable connectivity since the hurricane.

Turn-key solution
Satcom Direct technicians deployed Global Xpress utilising two Cobham 5075GX terminals in Rio Grande, to provide the only means of connectivity on the island for a 60 mile radius.

“We quickly assessed the situation and requirements and delivered a ‘turn-key’ solution familiar to BGAN users where first responders could simply set the terminal up in a few minutes and then plug it in to be on the network. Time is of the essence in serious situations like this,” said Sean Stevenson, SD Land and Mobile Solutions Product Manager.

Satcom Direct and COMSAT technicians travelled with off-duty San Juan police officers helping restore communications by setting up hot spots for phone and texting services to support the flow of humanitarian aid into Puerto Rico and to connect local members of the community with working phones. In addition, the team restored crucial communications to the emergency operations centre in Ceiba.

“When terrestrial and other land-based communication systems shut down, our teams were able to set up Global Xpress terminals quickly and easily, and support tactical command and control operations with completely reliable, resilient and interoperable voice, video and information system capabilities. This enabled first responders to spend minimal time installing, troubleshooting and configuring, and all time on the mission,” said David Greenhill, President of COMS

no worries with IMM that one will move around alot as we get nearer the news release
expecting swings of at least 100p per day as the volume picks up. the chart has been
predictable so far.

i have more money for ISAT would not rule out a visit to 407.75 but who knows.

i was underwater with all my big holdings at the beginning RDSB , BP.,LGEN, REDD
now all up circa 50% plus inc dividends.

Expedition 5 duo complete third island crossing
13 December 2017: Two former Royal Marines Commandos are celebrating after completing the most brutal challenge yet in their bid to trek unsupported across the five biggest islands in the world.

Desperately short water supplies made Louis Nethercott and Anthony Lambert’s 405-mile (653km) march over the mountains and through the swamps, jungles and deserts of Madagascar particularly risky.

“It may be shorter than the other crossings but it really has been a Commando raid of an island crossing,” said Ant in a video posted to social media via Inmarsat when they reached the west coast.

Scorching heat
The men covered up to 25 miles (40km) a day in scorching heat to complete the journey in 18 days. Their essential kit – carried on their backs and on trailers they dragged behind them – included two Inmarsat IsatPhone 2 satellite phones and a compact IsatHub terminal to use with their own smartphones.

Expedition 5 aims to raise awareness of the mental health issues faced by military veterans and raise funds for Help for Heroes and The Royal Marines Charity.

With Madagascar, Papua New Guinea and Borneo under their belts, the duo will set their sights on Greenland and Baffin Island next year.
