With shorts over 10% now, we could do with some nice contract/industry news to give us a double whammy rise...........or a takeover!

And they were significant director buys, by a range of directors, not just the CEO. Serious money staked by them.

One could perhaps set too much store by this, but certainly far better to see than its absence.

Although the negative momentum and the shorting are very bad signals, we have two positive signals: director buys and a sensible thread.

"It has fallen fast".

Yes, but arguably that's simply an observation of the herd mentality in action. And historic rather than predictive. If you check the individual short positions, there are already signs that some players are beginning to break ranks and buy back.

Hi RC, braver than me! Is it a value trap, (probably not IMO hence my interest). Will it turn soon (maybe, but personally would want to see more evidence of buying and a good bounce). It has fallen fast, especially over the last month.

Indeed it is. I have loaded up here in the belief that the market has got this wrong. Time will tell if I have made a mistake or not.

Trouble you have with these situations is working out when it is likely to turn. Other wise you are just buying and hoping (dangerous strategy). No signs it has finished its downward trend yet (£4 looks like the next resistance point). This one does not tempt me yet

The fall in the shares is unrelenting and would normally indicate that something wasn't quite right. There doesn't appear to be enough in the figures or industry developments to justify a slide in the shares of near two thirds in the last couple of years. It's difficult for management since they've pinned their colours to the mast and bought stock p.a.,but the shares have continued to fall, what else can they do.There are easier ways to make money than catch falling knives and I won't be buying here.

We have to go back to 2012 to see the share price at today's level .

Reappearance of Jane Street Group and AHL Partners above 0.50% short position threshold takes aggregate shorting total now above 8%. Will be interesting to see if around this shorting level represents the peak.

As someone pointed out, they will be buying back at some point and they've certainly had a good run.

14 day RSI is in clear oversold territory, around 10.

A sensible idea Lomcovaks we seem to be in a bear market for many stocks not only ISAT I have been buying a good few of the high yielders for my SIPP BP.,BT.A on 6% and PNN ,UU.,ITV,LLOY,AV.,SBRY,BLND around 5% yield and little chance they will reduce the dividend .I have ben sitting in cash in my SIPP since transfer early this year and have just started investing now as prices seem to have fallen too far.

ISAT have a good monthly revenue on the rental from the KIT they supply so doubt they will have little trouble servicing debt for investment in infrastructure.

The danger is that isat spend the money on the infrastructure, goes bust and another predator picks up the pieces for cents in the dollar, rather like Cable & Wireless's assets being bought by Vodafone. My technique is slow accumulation of the shares over the next year or two in my ISA then sit back and take the income without worrying about what the share price does. You've only got to be right 51% of the time to get rich.

This company is twice/three times the company it was in 2007 but languishes at 2007 price.

the coming opportunities esp in aviation in inflight connectivity are immense.

Buy and forget at around these levels.

I see the teenage scribblers are putting this fall in ISAT shareprice down to maritime units concerns I have used Inmarsat internet and sat phones on the vessels in our fleetfor many years they are good kit,Do they think that they can be replaced by other providers the units are on long term lease to replace the sat domes and hardware and cables would require a large investment which shipowners are never keen on .
