19/4/2006 21:26 | See the share price drifting back a tad over the last couple of days. Would like an update weather the trials with itv are over and system fully commissioned. Been a bit quite on here recently. Understandably. Hope all others in the fan club are well. Keep the faith. | veryniceperson
01/4/2006 13:43 | It seems to me Larousse/games that when the system was being built up they were happy to let broadcasters have it cheaper so they got used to the simplicity of the system. Itv was obviously the key to it all. The production houses are also a very important part of the system, that way a digital file can go straight to I M D then to the stations required. With 20 of the 40 production house signed up hopefully the others will follow shortly. This is how i see it, if I am wrong please correct me. Games - If I were you and you fancy a punt with these I would get in quick. I don't think the price will stay at this level for long, can see them getting to 60/70p within 3 to 6 months. That of cause my opinion Games. I bet there is a lot of investors that have IMD on there watch list. Larousse we have waited, what seems a long time for completion of the network but I feel we are there now and should see our investment grow at a steady pace. Do you remember the share price at 85p ha I do, those were the days By the way, I would be very happy with those figures above. | veryniceperson
01/4/2006 11:12 | Thanks Games, the weekend is peachy (apart from golf being cancelled due to the rain). Least said eh... Digital look have posted figures, with the estimate for the next two years (don't know if you use that site). Anyway, they are copied below. I like the look of the revenue and EPS estimates for 2007, as I think that re-rates us to somewhere upwards of 150p (maybe even 200p). However, I'm a bit worried that there are some typos in there, as their profit on 38.5m for 2007 (est) is less than what they forecast for making on 6m (est) this current year. Forecasts Year End Revenue Pre-tax EPS P/E PEG EPS Grth. D/Yld 31-Dec-06 6.14 2.04 4.23p 12.3 n/a n/a 1.50p 2.8% 31-Dec-07 38.58 1.50 12.21p 4.3 0.0 +188% .70p 5.1% Covering analysts: Corporate Synergy Still, if those figures are somewhere near correct, I will be very happy. Let's hope IMD can deliver on this. I know I said this before on the other thread, but I have to admit to being wrong-footed with IMD's timescales. I'll not be selling out, but I really expected the year just reported to be the one where the investment in TV turned to profit. It does seem to me to have taken an awfully long time to get all the ducks in a line. | larousse
31/3/2006 19:13 | L, Page 8 under b) Annual information updates. looks like a compliance thing to me, all news in one place (previous 12months), came into force from last July with companies given a certain time after to finals to announce. ps, back from painting and one lousey sell, i thought more folk would have sold just on the 'i'm bored with this' factor. have a good weekend. | games
31/3/2006 18:53 | Deleted (I found my own answer) Edit, thanks Games - similar to what I saw | larousse
31/3/2006 08:19 | I think i'll wait and see if the price drifts, and hope no itv news comes through while waiting. The tv side does look like its gaining traction, and i suppose they are going to play it a little quite (close to the chest) while gaing support from potential clients. i've noticed for a while the tv listings on imd's site for imdonline have been missing. Is it a positive being able to raise rates, or a negative that they had to maybe use offers?, either way the less capex and higher rates will provide a nice bit of leverage to the bottom line. Off out now got a boat to antifoul :-( 'However, as a result of the investment in our TV distribution network and revenue trends starting to increase, the Company is confidently expecting substantially increased revenues from TV in 2006, which should significantly improve the overall profitability of the Company'. | games
31/3/2006 07:40 | Well, all very much as expected, although the decline in cash is greater than i expected. Would liked to have seen more confidence going forward, but the TV arm has got to be given time, while the retaining of the dividend at the same level is welcome. Will be interesting to see where the share price heads today. | hastings
28/3/2006 18:43 | With the results out in 2 days very few trades done, mostly buys. It looks like they have kept things water tight this time. Hope the next two trading days things remain the same. | veryniceperson

19/3/2006 20:04 | Games's post in txt format: MTV UK embraces IMD Fastrax digital delivery MTV Networks UK last week broadcast it's first ever music video received digitally. Unbelievable, by Craig David, was supplied to MTV by Warner Bros TV Promotions department using IMD Fastrax's broadcast quality digital delivery system. This broadcast means that MTV Networks joins a number of other major broadcasters benefiting from IMD Fastrax's digital delivery service; these include Emap, Chart Show TV, At It Productions and GMTV. At MTV UK, IMD Fastrax has installed a dedicated 100MB fibre connection with software and hardware that integrates with MTV's ingest and Quality Assurance systems. This allows high quality videos files, 50 I Frame MPEG 2, to be delivered quickly and securely. The system notifies the broadcaster when a new music video has arrived and a desktop review version is able to be viewed immediately. Record companies prefer to send music videos digitally as it means they don't need to produce numerous expensive Beta tapes and arrange for bikes to deliver them. Television broadcasters choose to receive music videos digitally as it speeds up delivery and they don't have to return tapes to the record label all of which takes time and costs money. Sarah Adams, Director of Promotions at Warner Bros UK explained: "We are always looking at ways of saving time and money and this system with IMD Fastrax helps us to do both. Anything that can speed up the process of getting our videos on air, will receive our support." Mardi Caught, VPTalent and Artist Relations, MTV Networks UK & Ireland commented: "This is a great piece of technology and we're really pleased to have the capability to use it. Traditionally, tape production and delivery has been a time consuming and expensive necessity but having IMD Fastrax in place means that as a broadcaster we can deliver more new music to our viewers than ever before." IMD PLC, the parent company of IMD Fastrax, is the UK's leading digital distributor of broadcast quality video and audio. IMD has digital connections into virtually all UK & Ireland TV broadcasters and is employed by over 25 of the top 30 UK Advertising agencies to digitally deliver commercials. 07/3/2006 13:27 | Nice find Games. Thanks, as you say very encouraging. I should think Fastrax will grow at quite a pace now. Still think the results will be interesting. | veryniceperson
07/3/2006 10:12 | a liitle snip from Fastrax the other week. (PDF link) The last para on page 1 looks encouraging. | games
01/3/2006 20:28 | I'm inclined to go with games on this one vnp. They must know the figures now - and it can't simply be a delay because of horrible results - they would have been compelled to make a trading statement before this. I think he's hit the nail on the head, re waiting a couple of weeks until ITV is out of the trial and thus adding last minute gloss to the chairman's statement. I'll see you guys in a month then - be good ;) | larousse
01/3/2006 15:05 | We no the figures won't be that good, I wonder what it could be, could there be a merger, perhaps Beam TV, just thinking out loud! | veryniceperson
01/3/2006 14:34 | Interesting post Games, I think you have just about summed it up. Hopefully a good trading update for the last 3 months. | veryniceperson
01/3/2006 13:34 | Larousse, numbers will surely be known to quite a few already, if so i cannot see any reason to sit on the numbers if they were good, on the other hand hastings has given a small brief on the other thread so the mkt knows what to expect. Maybe they are hoping that the itv trial will be positively concluded by then, and/or a positive trading note for the 1st 3mths............... | games
01/3/2006 12:45 | vnp, I've told you never to call me that in public hastings, it has a ring As for the results: The Board of Independent Media Distribution plc ("the Company") announce that the Company will make its Preliminary Announcement of results for the year ended 31 December 2005 on Friday 31 March 2006. I wonder why the delay... | larousse
01/3/2006 08:12 | An excellent title larousse. | hastings
28/2/2006 22:14 | Nice one Larousse Never no might get them tomorrow or so I was told today by Hastings, under the rules it could be 6 weeks away. Then they could have more to report. Time will tell! P S We are all men are we sweetie? | veryniceperson
28/2/2006 21:24 | You're too kind VNP - no results today, but I started the new thread anyway - see you there Let's consign this one to history now - and think about seein 80p again? ;) | larousse
28/2/2006 07:47 | You may have the pleasure this time Larousse. | veryniceperson |
