Quite a day - highest quarterly inflows ever I believe..? |
And still in the foothills... |
In the US they'd call this a monster, in the UK it's oh that's interesting, haha. |
4.0 Bn cash inflows nonetheless:) |
3% market movement in a raging bull market? |
WOW! Interesting to see reaction today....Q2 AUM updateImpax, the AIM listed specialist investor focused on a more sustainable economy, today provides an update on the development of its assets under discretionary and advisory management ("AUM") for the second quarter of its financial year.On 31 March 2021, the Company's AUM reached GBP30.0 billion, representing an increase of 19.0% for the quarter and 48.6% for the financial year to date.Ian Simm, Chief Executive, commented:"I am pleased to report that Impax has again delivered another quarter of exceptional growth, with our AUM reaching GBP30 billion for the first time. Net flows for the three months to the end of March were a record GBP4.0 billion as we converted rising client demand into new business. Over the first half of our financial year we have increased our AUM by almost 50 per cent."This quarter we also completed the integration of our New Hampshire-based team, who joined us in 2018 following the acquisition of Pax World Management LLC. Combining the two businesses has already delivered significant growth for the Group. We are positioning ourselves for further expansion by adding to our research resources, extending our distribution and client service capabilities, and further strengthening our support teams."We have been encouraged that, even during a pandemic, the public, policymakers and businesses have continued to pay attention to the sustainability themes that underpin our investment thesis. Looking ahead, the landmark COP26 climate talks in November and the policies of the Biden Presidency in the United States are likely to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable economy."Addressing economic and social challenges will continue to create enormous opportunities for the well-positioned companies that Impax is seeking to back. In particular, we expect to see rapidly rising support among governments for the build out of assets that will underpin a low carbon economy."The table below sets out further details of the movements in the Company's AUM for the quarter ended 31 March 2021. Just another day at the office

You got it Yogi. We are barely at the foothills. |
Dan, £27,696m AUM certainly is a great result with the way the markets have been in February. Some further share price consolidation in the £7-£8 range will provide a good foundation for the rest of the year as the environmental/green agenda continues to gather momentum.. |
So another 882m AUM in the bag for Feb. Quite something, not least in a turbulent wider market, and already as good as hitting the 28bn target Peel Hunt had set for end of Sept. Go IPX. |
Might have done. I've been here before. |
Daijavu have we met before?? Something very familiar about you tbh. |
This is not my biggest holding but it is my best performing. |
another good mandate

Strong finish today on a high volume- maybe a delayed reaction to AUM increase.... |
Good spot edmonda, lots of good emphasis on cash inflows in note which hopefully is a sign of things to come. February will be key as December and January often stand outs at start and end of year for investors but should settle in to more routine inflows in Feb.Separately, also good to see bed and ISA from someone connected to Ian Simm today and a few non execs buys recently - more good signals.. |
Thanks for the report link. Time to start buying again. |
Some sound thinking above, and after another large jump in AUM in January to a total of £26.8bn (a remarkable 1/3 higher than year end 30 Sept '20)Equity Development raise forecasts and now calculate fundamental fair value at 925p/share.

Yes Yogi, agree on being comfortable with the current price. I think Investors Chronicle said recently IPX needs to put on 1bn AUM a month to keep its £8 price tag. But if it can keep up the level its been doing more recently, then maybe we will be looking at closer to £10 and beyond by year end... |
Melody, yes on website as of this am.. |
Dan, I noticed this am that the AUM was now £26.814bn as at end January. Clearly the interesting info would be the inflows vs market return but bearing in mind the market dipped at end of Jan it is probably fair to assume another big inflow month. What was also not mentioned widely was the the inflows to AUM of £2.83bn in last quarter of 2020 vs the highest previous quarterly record of £1.1bn. All this shows a significant amount of growing interest in Impax and what they do. As such and like melody I am very comfortable with the consolidation in 8-8.50 range and then see what happens end March with AUM and half year? |
dan - is the 1.6bn on their web site or somewhere else? |
Another 1.6bn put on during January and 12 hours later not a beep on the chatroom, we're not taking these dudes for granted are we pop pickers? |
