Nah, i think it's just people more people cottoning onto what a strong long term investment is, and when there is so much rubbish around, it properly stands out in terms of growth and even dividend. |
Right, a bit obvious there's something in the air here, no? |
Updated research just out from Equity Development. Forecasts and valuation raised, a similary considered view being taken. Prospects remain exciting ..
you can see both the new research and last week's presentation by CEO and CFO just click here: |
From 6 to 7 in a week. Impressive. |
Presentation and annual report both reserved and understated, which is a good sign. The investment managers are being very well rewarded and so there is no way many of them will be leaving anytime soon. Dividend was up 56% but only on a 60% ratio which is towards the bottom end of the 55-80% range. Very impressive. What I also like about this stock is that they tend to under-promise on the dividend and then over-deliver. I think the big opportunity is to develop new strategies and grow the private equity side. They could do with a roll-out PE vehicle if they could get it away, maybe using a closed-end vehicle. They are seeding a couple of funds, but possibly need to do a bit more given their undoubted current popularity. |
Thanks for the link Edmonda - watched yesterday and still only between 20 and 30 views which suggests we are still some ways from the masses realising what a gem we have here. Great investing back in the day topvest - I spotted at about 90 but only invested small at 1.28 and then a lot more since. Holding for moment but seriously overweighted relative to rest of portfolio.. |
Blimey - surge in the share price today. Up more than my original purchase price in 1 day...happy days! I will take a more detailed look at the annual report this weekend. |
for those who missed it live yesterday, here is the recording of CEO and CFO discussing their excellent FY results and strong outlook / dealing with investor questions.
43 mins of warming weekend viewing: |
Impax has certainly been a cracking story since listing on AIM in 2001 via a reverse into an AIM shell, when it was valued at only £2.2m with modest revenues and having never generated a profit.
Since those early days the shares have risen nearly 3,000%.

What a dream pick this has been. It's my largest single position, even after selling half. It's about a 12 or 13 bagger for me so far....happy days!
Best thing is that growth appears to be accelerating rather than slowing down. A 56% increase in the dividend says it all! |
It will be interesting to see, my sense is they will do 2-3 years more before any sale. Ive been following IPX since 2007 when you could buy the shares for 18p. Problem was we had to wait 7 years for anything significant to happen. Another small green stock now worth watching, with similar growth potential is EAAS, shares are around 10p, but the pro green environment is obvs vastly different to 13 years. I think EAAS could go through the gears v quickly and you could be seeing doubling or tripling in value in just a couple of years. EOY results are in June next year, watch this space. |
"I really hope they don't get taken out by one of the giants." I've always assumed that they would... |
Agree. And good news for them that idiot Trump is out of the picture. For now. |
It's great, sort of tempting to sell but not going to. If they hit 1bn in market cap, there's all of the stability that conveys for potential subscribers to their funds. I really hope they don't get taken out by one of the giants. |
Moving along nicely - very positive results this am.. |
Indeed - FY results an 'outstanding success' says Chairman
Numbers are impressive: revs +19%, net inflows of £3.5bn, FY div 8.6p +56%. In first 2 months of new year another £1.9bn net inflows took AUM to £23.4bn at 30 Nov.

Extraordinary trajectory. The rating is sky high of course so they need to keep delivering but have been faultless to date. |
Aum @ £23.4 bn 30 Nov, not sure if that recognises Dec 1 subs (presume not) and who knows what discussions there may be in flow for the all important Jan 1 subs. Any ideas out there on how long they may be able to continue this growth trajectory? |
6, tentative. |
A chance to see the Management themselves present on FY results and outlook.
Time is 3pm, on Thursday 3rd Dec in a webinar that all investors can register for here: |
Comes out around 7-8th of every month and is posted on their website. Nov is already looking close to £2bn |
Perfectly said topvest - the best is still to come. |
