Hey, I don't say what he's doing is the wrong thing. Previous administrations have decimated US manufacturing and he should use pressure (import taxes) to force products which are being sold to US consumers to have a local manufacturing plant in the US.
The Chinese moves over the past 25 years are the biggest sucker punch in history.
It's just the rest of the world won't like it up 'em!

Meanwhile another day closer the Phase 3 headline results and the company has plenty of cash to expand the P140 interests, so underlying value has increased.

At least Trump is strong against North Korea and a friend to Brexit.

Would be nice to get through that strange event called 'Davos' without Trump starting a trade fight with the rest of the world :)

Cosmo Kramer, usually referred to as simply "Kramer"...

Kramer has conflicting personality traits. An art patron described a painting of him in "The Letter" as "a loathsome, offensive brute"; he's sometimes shallow, callous and indifferent. Though eccentric, Kramer is more often than not caring, friendly and kind-hearted; he often goes out of his way to help total strangers, and tries to get his friends to also help others and to do the right thing even when they do not want to. He is confident in his own unique way of doing things, yet he can be neurotic and high-strung. His quirkiness, strange body movements and frequent gibberish mutterings (possibly a result from a blow to the head in "The Pitch") have become his trademark.

Not sure about "caring" or helpful?

Above from Wikipedia - quite funny and captures remarko's habits quite well.

Out of interest, what PIs would have been offered shares in the placing. The share price has not fallen much since the whispers arose yesterdy or the day before? So have PIs been affected. Do the MMs know about it before the RNS today, and thus lowered over the last week or so

The placing price of 144p must be to do with the fact that negotiations with the would be investors started a few weeks ago when price hovered around 150p. So in essence IMM did not offer much discount. In any case number of shares placed is only a small amount but, significantly, does secure future for IMM whatever the results in a couple of months. This is simply risk mitigation albeit the deal came at the request of the investors. All the fuss for nothing, panicked the small/medium holders into selling. The share price will rise quite reasonably from here until the results, probably over 200p.

Imo, IMM should be employing a professional negotiator. Given the sums at stake, this would be one of the wisest investments they could make.

I suspect that any leak came from PIs, not the company. This is not a 100% insti investment, lets see what disclosures are made in coming days...

We both hold and both want this to go well north on positive results.

- Tim was very positive in his interviews last week but made the point that we await final results. He would not have known the results of the Ph3 at this time.
- Fully funded to the end of 2018 also means that is when the cash runs out. A fund raise (from pre-results strength) makes a lot more sense than trying to fund raise after not great results. A fund raise after positive results would be even better, this is the risk IMM are trying to manage.
- We had no cash for 2019 overheads or a second Ph3 study if required, that is a potentially company ending situation.
- IMM did not say they would not fund raise - to do so at 144p is a positive imo, as it gives them options if the phase 3 does not come in as hoped.

I would contend that while Tim was very positive, he did not say that results were guaranteed nor that they would not need to raise monies. Bashing them for this is unfair.

Odd that despite holding the exact same views as I did since buying in, I am now defending the company rather than being accused of deramping it. This is a strange board....

yep you are right..however these things shouldnt get out..I doubt Tim will be a tough negotiator..not as tough as you or i or anybody on here. I hope we all get the right result

spawny100,

did they call it or did they know? if they knew then thats another issue. I took half my stake out of here (which is maybe the intention to shake the PI's out) so i hope for all our fortunes and for the guys on the drug that it all works out.

hope lifes treating you well!
