30/8/2017 09:46 | Thank you H2. | jamesrowe
30/8/2017 09:26 | Planned maintenance apparently. On a trading day ! Maybe IMG board have taken management roles there 😇 | hammerd2
30/8/2017 08:36 | Is anyone having problems on TD Direct this morning? I get an error every time that I enter an EPIC code on teh Place an Order page. | jamesrowe
29/8/2017 15:47 | Me too, just having another little gamble. THEYAK | theyak
29/8/2017 15:42 | LoC - Fingers x'ed for the long termers and staff - my interest now is entirely speculative so I'm well back in the queue for rewards IMO. The share price slide throughout the day would seem to indicate the market is less than entirely convinced of the veracity of this version of the rumour. Still, it's all grist to the mill innit ? COYI !! | hammerd2
29/8/2017 14:38 | Hammered, for info Mark Kleinman at Sky has a good reputation re insider info and has good contacts in the city. A couple of his predictions re my other investments turned out to be true. In this case I think the rumour mill has something to it. I no longer have shares in IMG but would like to see long term investors get some reward. | life of crime
29/8/2017 10:04 | So I'm guessing not everyone is taken with this rumour then. Given the potentially bleak business outlook and an share price of mid 120's I'd say most people would accept £1.80 when the likely alternative could well be atrophy. MIPS would be a great buy for Intel IMO. Would make Mobileye takeover utterly seamless, get them more of a foothold in the modem market, access to new markets hitherto beyond them, finally give them the low energy processing cores they've long desired, no security of sale concerns, not monopolistic, etc. | hammerd2
29/8/2017 08:25 | Horrible market isn't helping today | dealy
29/8/2017 07:44 | I'm convinced the process would have been stopped weeks ago if the discussions had been around £1.50-£1 My money is on £600m i.e. £2.10 minimum. | cottesloe
28/8/2017 18:57 | C.o.y.i. keep the belief. Xx | boleyn
28/8/2017 09:07 | Or maybe the price was walked down so someone could bid under 160p while still offering a 30% uplift. Or the price just fell because there appeared to be no interest. From 135p a 30% uplift would have got to circa £500m, now it's just £450m. Still we'll see at 8.01 am tomorrow how real this version of the rumour is. COYI ! | hammerd2
27/8/2017 22:27 | Looks like someone in the chain of command has leaked to stem the leaky balloon share price from drifting down any further. | borromini1
27/8/2017 18:58 | Cap almost doffed to CB3. Just need them to press 'send' and the games can commence. Looks like maybe a few more weeks yet but if this is a 'real rumour' then we should see some action on Tuesday. Which is nice as I've already had to pay for 2 tranches of temporary buys and I'd really rather not have to buy the 3rd and 4th ! Will the bid be based on the all new (manipulated ?) depressed share price or a real valuation of the parts I wonder. Wouldn't it just be so very, very IMG though for this to be the test case for Theresa Might's new 'no foreigners' takeover policy ? | hammerd2
27/8/2017 16:24 | That's old news re chinese backed fund. | orkney
27/8/2017 11:22 | If we have two bidders we will easily get to 200p imo | dealy
26/8/2017 20:48 | I just saw news on skyBloody hope something happens nowAnd Chinese buy co for good price | foxy22
25/8/2017 08:06 | Just more self-serving that usual then Freddie. | milesy
24/8/2017 19:18 | When I said "the company wants it cheaper (the sp)" I should perhaps clarify this to "certain, possibly all of the directors of the company". The reason for this is that when a company is going into a merger or is going to be bought up the normal criteria of what directors are there for changes. Directors are normally there to maximise the return to the shareholders, grow the company, produce profits etc. In a takeover or merger situation the interests of other stakeholders come into play and the interests of the directors come high in the list of other stakeholders as far as the directors are concerned. | freddie ferret
24/8/2017 12:26 | I had been thinking only this morning that maybe any delay is down to potential purchasers spending time themselves investigating how they might dispose of those IP areas they acquire that they have no interest in. | milesy
24/8/2017 11:00 | 25% of a £500m buyout comes directly from Apple at almost nil cost - even without any other potential cash for infringements that may or may not come down the line. You'd think that, with the again slumping value of sterling, would grease a wheel or two. It wouldn't be entirely inconceivable for Intel to then take MIPS off the new owners' hands (Mobileye, low power CPU, IoT aspirations) for at least $60m - it would certainly be around the cheapest and less risky of their recent buys. That's over 1/3 of the price taken care of with zero effort whilst also taking a large chunk of costs off the books of what's left. | hammerd2
24/8/2017 09:17 | Is there not some fiduciary duty to keep the market informed of any material change in the process . As there has been no announcement we can assume that the due diligence and hopefully suggested sale price/auction is still ongoing and active otherwise the company would clearly be in breach . I'm sure it is an extremely complex exercise with multiple facets not least the potential payout from Apple Cottesloe | cottesloe
24/8/2017 07:54 | PowerVR turns 25 ! How many more for the old lady ? Ah, those were the days. I remember most of these cards..... | hammerd2 |
