17/1/2008 17:55 | ALl your buys today then, orvil. Got them at a good price. There has been some funny price action of ILX recently. Drops often on no sells and then the share price returns to starting position by EOD. Strange. I would read it almost as though some stock is trying to be teased out of weak holders. But what do I know. Stay lucky. DL | davidlloyd
17/1/2008 16:46 | Well i bought another 13k shares today in different accounts, but unfortunately it just bought out the 10k a throw seller. I now have £50k of shares and will take this higher when it starts to turn. | orvil
07/1/2008 17:27 | The spread has always been bad on ILX unfortunately. | spaceparallax
07/1/2008 15:49 | I bought 5k at 53p as a top-up [tried for 10].They moved the spread to 50-60 from 50-5,then the price shot up.Basically,I reckon marketmakers have cut inventories to the bone, and become more like marketmatchers. This makes markets thinner and more treacherous. | shakyhands
07/1/2008 10:37 | Morning Duss, I've just read a brief item by Peter Shearlock (of Growth Company Investor) in which he reiterates his Buy rec for ILX and his amazement that the MCap remains so low despite upbeat statements from the Company and the Director buys. Hopefully, we might finally be on the move. | spaceparallax
07/1/2008 10:06 | This could be the rise that sees us break-out - fingers crossed | dusseldorf
28/12/2007 16:32 | I'm surprised that the sp's remained unmoved by yesterday's 18K and today's tiddler Buys - normally, it's up and down at the slightest. | spaceparallax
22/12/2007 21:31 | It might just be a forced seller with a line of stock. It has, after all, been only a short while since some director buying.Or perhaps I'm just being naive. We could always ask the famous 'do you know of any reason for the weakness' question - which would be quite reasonable in the circumstances. | shakyhands
13/12/2007 09:42 | or perhaps XPG haven't made any 'successfully integrated' but poorly performing acquisitions that led to missing estimates ........ | aa29
13/12/2007 08:32 | AA29 - I've re-read the interims and agree looks like we have £4m outstanding in total as of 30th September 2007. £1m in cash and £3m in equity... June being less than 6 months away, I'd suggest the price for placement has already been agreed - as such, many people already know IMO hence price supression and selling by those who have found out... Take a look at XPG as a company in a similar field who are not placing shares and spot the difference in price action....I still go with a level of insider dealing | dusseldorf
13/12/2007 00:48 | I'm not sure where your thought of an imminent need for a placing comes from. They are likely to have to pay £5m in additional consideration for CTG. £1m of this was paid before September 07, £1.5m is deferred at 5% over Base for a year so £4m is payable next June, at least £1m of which needs to be cash. The question of issuing more shares looks more likely to be in June 2008. | aa29
12/12/2007 22:15 | More inclined to think 50p was a sell and 52p a buy.Check the times. | argy2
12/12/2007 19:55 | AA29 - £50k worth of stock sold today at 52 and 50p after 100% increase in profits and director buying at 65p? ...still think there's nothing up? | dusseldorf
12/12/2007 13:26 | Spaceparallax - If you need to put a positive outlook into context, reread what they said in January and compare that to this year's Annual Report (the figures rather than the words). You can tell from the interims that CTG is going very well but you can't tell whether the Best Practice problems have been really sorted. As to the share drift generally, I'm not sure there's any conspiracy behind it. It's just that it is difficult to sell and the price is quick to be marked down. | aa29
12/12/2007 12:41 | MetaphysicalMan - I disagree, I forgotten the sums I did, but there is still £5m yet to be paid to various parties - looks to me like the placing will be at 50p and worse still, its been known by various parties who have been selling the price down since June 2007... Would be interesting to know (from the company) who exactly is involved in this placement and why has it taken so long - plus who the larger holders are who have been selling - perhaps those involved in placement? which is insider dealing.... | dusseldorf
12/12/2007 12:37 | The downturn in share price does seem crazy given the recent figures and very positive outlook, which KS would not issue unless confident - ILX will not forget the consequences of underdelivery. | spaceparallax
11/12/2007 12:45 | Really should be no need to, given the cash they're now throwing off. There is the £1.5m consideration due to the CTG owners which they deferred paying - I was hoping that this was so they could cash settle rather than in shares at such a depressed price, but... I expect it is just a lack of PI buyers who are nervous about the markets. Thinknig of topping up at these prices. Profit after tax of £2m, EPS around 7p, PER less than 0.5, it's a bargain. A share placement to fund a good acquisition is fine by me, as long as its not at TOO much of a discount. Regards MetaphysicalMan | metaphysicalman
11/12/2007 12:10 | I sense an impending placement of shares | dusseldorf
29/11/2007 16:33 | well if it is a sell, its amazing as the bid hasn't flinched. I believe you are correct in your assumption that its a pre-agreed price / T buy... | dusseldorf
29/11/2007 16:06 | 120K trade, marked as Sell @ 65p. Is is a Sell or perhaps another T Buy, just filled? | spaceparallax
29/11/2007 09:43 | My question is answered - nice vote of confidence. With this morning's rise, we're heading rapidly towards the SMA 200 - if we could breakthrough and remain above, it could begin to look very healthy, quickly. | spaceparallax
29/11/2007 07:40 | indeed, but then who bought the 200k? | dusseldorf
29/11/2007 07:28 | Excellent news re directors buying this underlinres the recovery in ILX | orvil
28/11/2007 17:27 | spaceparallax - In a best case scenario, perhaps someone is stakebuilding via discrete transactions with the view to making a higher offer. We shouldn't underestimate how attractive the results and growth rate make the company IMO, there should be a few more eyes on ILX... | dusseldorf
28/11/2007 16:09 | The 36K & 45K trades are being reported as Buys - someone's managed to secure a tight price. Unless there's a large T Sell being filled, we should soon see more share price progress. | spaceparallax |
