Yeah good point, I guess I was just trying to say it’s my belief something has changed. That change is related to the confidence in the product. They basically stopped marketing it in April. Lack of confidence in the product that we then officially heard about saying they could not get the recipes right at the time. All mention of stereax on Twitter stopped! It’s now back! Another tweet this morning as well I note ;)

You may be right, but if they issue an RNS with the word 'imminent' in it, the share price will surely tank. Need to do better than that.

Just checked, last tweet to say come and see our micro batteries was 6th April. Up till then 1-2 a week as they looked to market the product, then nothing until the chaos of late may! First tweet today, come and see our micro batteries :) I think we will get an update on the 13th July that sales are imminent again

Well well well. A tweet from Ilika on Twitter about stereax batteries! The first one in many months and the first since I suggested “summit was up”. Have the addressed the problem?? They stopped marketing stereax about 2 months before they told us of the problem with recipes! Now they have tweeted for the first time in months about the product. I reckon “summit is up” ;)

Interest growing again in this stock.

Reasons:
Chart pointing to upwards swing (horneblower worth listening too)
Goliath was always the crown jewel and progressing as expected. :)
Stereax progress being made. This should offset some of the costs of developing Goliath
The share price is a steal at these levels. Be back to above a pound end of summer.

Very interesting video. Mentions Goliath UKBIC scale up designed to support four Supercar OEMs with their EV development. Could go up to 200MWh, won't go ahead without offtakes and OEM investment. Product definition maturing. Agree with Berenberg that risk reward is compelling

jimmyAnn,
Thanks. Would you mind letting me know which bits you feel are particularly uninformed; the "strong buy" from post 4570?

You and Rogk are full of uninformed utter rubbish. If Ilika is so bad why the hell do you and Rogk hang around this share? Ilika doesn't need your rubbish and neither do we!!

RNS isn't earth shattering but for me offers further indication that Goliath tech is progressing. The company has a value of 90m sterling. Stereax has some value, but Goliath proving tech and getting a strategic partner would dwarf that. Yes it risky but I'm adding at these levels.

The question is, does Ilika have a solution that will prove to be competitive in power-to-weight ratio and price?

In my (worthless) opinion, knowing the individuals involved and their history, the answer is no.

That is because the technology they are using is a. old hat and b. un-protected.

Basically, the answer to finding a working solution to the battery problem will come from new tech, not existing.

However, this does not mean that investors can't make money from Ilika shares. Many a duff company in the past has seen its shares rise profitably.

If ever a product was needed its solid-state car batteries. At present electric cars are too heavy with extra heavy tyre wear and limited range. The batteries are the largest part of the initial cost. If Ilika can really crack this problem with proof that their batteries will offer savings on weight, greater range, longer life and quicker charging then inevitably others will be forced to either invest in the company or licence the IP. The existing battery companies do not want to see Ilika succeed - its called "Not Invented Here" syndrome but I am sure, when faced with the inevitable demise of their existing product, they will be beating the door down to get their hands on the usurper's tech. Remember when Ford said "You can have any colour as long as its black". Things move on.

Agree on that point! Kicking it off on 1st may and then putting out an RNS when almost a third of the work is complete is odd. I genuinely just think this is the way of the business, they are so focussed on delivery of the technical aspect that they lose focus on the need to keep the market updated. It could be worse, they could be updating the market and not focusing on delivery. Needs to be ironed out but experience being gained everyday!! Good RNS this morning, shows things are progressing in the background.

"Ilika will receive a GBP105,000 grant towards its related costs over the six-month project, which commenced on 1 May 2022."

Why the 7 week wait? RNS's should be given in a timely fashion. Ah, it's Ilika.

Well well well. That’s an RNS worth discussing :) Great progress on Goliath!! Having the UkBIC and AFC discussing Ilika and Goliath is exactly what we want! This is why I bought these shares. If they can get Stereax up and running by the end of the year, I think they will, then we are truly back on track! Enjoy the weather in the U.K. all…
