I bet we get some news now that he has sold. Something defo went on with Steve departing. He was called a solid member of the team when they announced it. Hardly a glowing reference!!

I suspect it wasn’t too amicable with perhaps one party happy to split and the other not so. Question is, which way around….

it could be that that he might have been helped on his way.

Also, why not wait until you're no longer a director, so disclosure rules are no longer relevant?

Oops hadn't even noticed that he was leaving. I guess it makes more sense to sell if he is, but agreed, it doesn't loudly shout that the company has great prospects if the departing FD is selling up.

His departure raises a number of questions. Mainly why would he leave if the company prospects are so bright etc

Very disappointing the FD selling all the options that he was awarded.

On the one hand the basic comp of £150k for an FD isn't exactly huge - but it is disappointing that someone who is so 'In the Know' with the company has decided that they want to sell 75% of their entire shareholding.

Silly to sell on charts lowest support line (without knowing something) price action over the next fortnight is crucial & price action since Dec 2020 prints the investor exodus, suggests sub £1 is imminent

Why on earth would a director sell 2,000 shares!?

Particularly when it's 0.5% of your holding. Quite bizarre, unless there's an obvious reason I am missing?

Must be getting close to process and product qualification now! I wonder if this is what allows Stereax to be placed into human bodies? If we can get regulatory approval for that it would be a game changer, no?

You may be right, robertspc1, but I think the reverse is true.

Imo, the Stereax micro-batteries may become commercial in the next two years as they could possibly carve out a niche market to themselves.

I'm afraid that Goliath is almost certainly a dodo.

Anyone investing on the basis that IKA will have a mass market Goliath EV battery any time soon hasn't been doing their research. Next 12-24 months is about Stereax getting commercial traction and Goliath progressing tech development and manufacturing plan. This is not a ST trading play, its a long term bet on SSBs. I'm happy on that basis

Rogk, to a certain extent I agree (re Stereax). One thing that does bug is that everything takes so long. Stereax licencing didn’t happen in 2016/2017 etc. They’re now doing the own manufacturing route & it damn well better be successful. There are no more excuses left in the bag for that one

The thing that struck as important was the focus scale manufacturing costs and viability as well as ( and not just) getting the best product.

Re (B): The 2 year/8 year thing was in relation to the market as a whole, not specifically IKA
Re (C) not a fact, your opinion
Re (A) It is a fact. There’s no visibility on orders because they didn’t talk about it
Re (D) There’s no visibility on what the guy had for breakfast…. because ...(wait for it) ...they didn’t talk about it

So they are (hopefully) 2 years away from manufacturing an extremely expensive EV battery, hence the constant reference to supercars which, they naively believe, have healthier profit margins and can support the higher cost.

And 8 years to (hopefully) produce the world beating EV battery for everyday cars.
With these timelines it’s a good job the largest auto makers in the world don’t have their own specialist and commercially savvy in house teams and strategic partners working flat out on battery tech as we speak, duh

In summary..

(A) No visibility on (tiny battery, internet of things, medical) stereax orders.
(B) We’ll have to wait another EIGHT YEARS for them to (hopefully) be ready to supply the commercially agreeable mass market EV battery that most people have invested here for.
(C) All Goliath strategic partners (both supercar and everyday car manufacturers) are equally unimpressed at the Goliath offer and the glacial pace of NPD and have now walked away.

As more facts are made available, This company feels more and more like yet another academically run, uncommercial, grant funded cash burner..
Any counter-rants to the FACTS above welcome.

Highly recommend the etech49 podcast interview with IKA sales director John Tinson. Very detailed explanation of Stereax and Goliath development etc. The doubters in particular should listen carefully. IKA management know what they are doing

Yep, that will be it. You’ve worked it out.

Hoping the articles this week on Sky about British volt will get the company thinking about Goliath as much as stereax!

Kenjen,
They need to spend the government grant on something, staff as good as anything

Yeah that’s why they are currently advertising for around 10 new roles. Because the don’t have a full order book or huge confidence in their product! Chortle chortle…
