Good spot Rog, I always said that Dyson was making a mistake there, just sensed he had been lead up the garden path and should probably now turn his attention to Ilika. For him a steal at say 70m. There is nothing out there that I have seen that rivals us

Interesting RNS - Ilika moving in illustrious company. I'm surprised and impressed that their contract didn't go to a US company in the circumstances.

Now, a spot of director buying would set this on fire!

Is it possible that Ilika has been biding its time on double stacking and larger batteries until today's announcement of the granting of a key patent in the US?

I would love it if this were true, but then, as with my over-large holding in Forbidden Technologies, am I a delusionista?

Come on Ilika.

Let's have the bacon.

Rogk, I really can’t figure why this particular point is always in your teeth. I won’t engage next month :) but for the record can you say what share ownership you think they should have & at what frequencies you think they should buy?

Without wanting to bore anyone to death going on about collaborations. A company I’m sure we all know released results this morning. They have had licence agreements etc but the sales are poor. The point is, having licences & products on the shelves isn’t the be all & end all. End users have to look at them and embark on a load of integration/compatibility/testing work etc as the product in itself does nothing when it isn’t connected to anything. This task would be incredibly time consuming, expensive and seen as more risky as there is little or no certainty of having a positive end result. By using collaborations with other component manufactures you shorten this integration/compatibility/testing period considerably & are able to offer a fully working product or certainly a more complete part of one. I’m not saying licences aren’t important etc, I’m just highlighting a view that collaborations may well turn out to be the big cheese when we eventually have some of both

ROGK - Close period, current share ownership, options up the gazoo etc etc. Pls attach these to your monthly reminder that prompts you to drone on about directors buying shares.

HB/AFB - They have always said that the larger batteries for consumer electronic products are very price competitive. Doesn’t it make sense that they would focus on the areas they have (M250, miniature, temperature resistant), getting efficiencies & credibility up before embarking on a more competitive sector? They said they can produce the stacked batteries; whether that has changed or not, who knows? But I wouldn’t necessary assume that it has simply because we haven’t heard that they’re charging in at this point trying to supply Apple etc. Then again who knows, they might be doing just that. I’d at least like to think they've approached Samsung after their recent debacle, with a battery solution that’s right up their alley.

Yes sure, stacked batteries is possible in theory, but Obviously not in any sensible price range.

Let's face it, deposition technology (or whatever they called it) was never going to be any use for making large batteries. Can you imagine how long they would take to make a single phone battery!

They should never have claimed to be in the process of developing stacked batteries. It was all hype just to mislead investors in order to boost the stock price so that they could raise more funds and keep their business running.

Not breaking any laws (proveably anyway).

More AIM SCUM.

The old roadmap pictured batteries of larger and larger size.
Since there is no mention whatsoever of anything larger than the current micro battery for iot we must come to the inevitable conclusion that they have given up on multi-stacking.
I feel they should announce this as it is a major change in the direction of the company.

It makes very little difference frankly whether revenues are booked pre- or post- 30 April. Its just a theoretical line in the sand...
