Unknown knowns.

Are you sure that’s not from the Donald Trump little book of ‘don’t I sound clever’ quotes, rather than the somewhat more erudite Donald.

The only person I know that announces an agreement when there is nothing agreed is Donald Trump.

But in my experience it’s best to assume nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.

..Eeek!! I've heard some right muppets (not you!) trotting out that line..... grade A mushroom food.

Nothing wrong at all with ramping mode once in a while. 100% agree with the sentiment of your post.

True enough, but I am in ramping confident mode, the longer we don't hear the less it concerns me, I'd be more worried with this Bod if they started tweeting meaningless updates like some oil and gas aim Companies. They have great asset and I belive strongly they are not one bit bothered about hurrying it for sake of quick share price rise, they know long term this is now a extremely lucrative company

Ducati, the last rns says :"The Company has granted a period of exclusivity to a potential farminee in order to conclude contractual negotiations"The fact is that, at least as of the rns, an SPA had not been concluded. I expect the headline terms to have been agreed - and we were given that impression at the agm. But in my experience it's best to assume nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.

Erm it's taking so long because as i3e have stated its under 90 day disclosure agreements, its not taking long time because they are trying to find fundi g or agree terms, Bod have been quite clear that its agreed.

ziblot, I think it's fair you say funding is not a formality - I doubt many £45m market cap companies can complete $200m funding "as a formality".

But given the low risk economics of Liberator, the 30th round award, management competence, management shareholding, and the oil price increase - I believe funders will provide an attractive package to i3e shareholders.

The recent Brent drop to $72 is still 35% above the $53 when the Liberator competent person report said 11 mboe was worth $200m post tax NPV10. Now Liberator has 33m boe 2p + 2c plus 47 mboe prospective resources - all at a conservative recovery factor.

Fair enough if you think differently on funding, time will tell what happens. Having looked at the facts plus spoken with the CEO & CFO & fellow shareholders - I'm pleased to wait and see what i3e will deliver. For the record I've about 40% of my portfolio in i3e - second only in size to ZOO (I never was too hot on diversification...).

Ziblot, you might want to read the corporate presentation on i3e web site. That will tell you what i3e have :-)

Taken too long for funding to be described as a formality. At what eventual cost? What do i3 have to give in return to get this out the starting blocks? No one knows!
ziblot

Without doubt its just formality now, but as this will be major rns I would expect i3e not to say anything until its all ahreed

The very fact that i3e stated BOTH parties are procuring equipment shows how very confident and close the agreement is to being signed off.
I do not believe there are any obstacles other than usual legalities and that the announcement will be sooner rather than later.

Caters, on one hand I hope the news is delayed into Aug/Sep - rattling some shareholders who then move on. I see two benefits:

First, it makes for a more stable shareholder base who accept things don't work out as planned but buy into the long term i3e story.

Second, it might provide a top up opportunity.

On the other hand, I'd prefer if i3e releases an amazing funding announcement beyond all our expectations at noon today that sends the share price rocketing :)

FB Just had a catch up on Bentley. Looks like nearby infrastructure is spoken for so Whalsay (bond holders JV company) may have to go down the standalone platform and fpso route.Yes, things could go wrong with I3 but light easy flowing oil should help to get partners on board.I'm expecting a few shareholders to get rattled if no funding announcement is made in July. As someone pointed out, the July date was expressed as a hope rather than a certainty, but it may have been better left unsaid. We'll see.

Watching the golf all day Sunday but interesting discussion yesterday. I3e still a compelling investment for me and Rockrose still odds on...but might there be a 3rd partner ? service provider ? Not long to wait.
