You do indeed, Caters. I'm in UK Offshore exclusively nowadays apart from TXP, where Zengas presence made me feel comfortable to hold a smallish stake.

But for me nothing with stan in the name and no FSU at all.

Absolutely. I've invested in too many AIM O&G companies where something starts to go skew-whiff because of above surface issues. I can now only do small investments (if any) in those countries - and that's a lot of countries.

Even Ireland is looking tricky because of the greens and UK onshore has become somewhere for smaller stakes only.

There aren't many countries (edit: or territories) where you can say 'Yep, I'll buy big time here' and UK offshore is one that gets the tick. Even then, you have to be careful of wannabees that buy loads of offshore licences and then raise loads of money (loans or equity) to develop those licences on the promise of possible farm outs (edit: clearly I3E doesn't fit into that latter definition - NC & GH's focus is far sharper).

It's a pain. These early investors want to exit and, for i3e, they'd rather not wait until some possible big payday in 2019 or 2020, but make persistent small sales to willing PIs.

It's a pity that an II can't be found to buy a block of shares from these sellers. Perhaps there may be some block trades once funding is announced.
