05/2/2017 22:31 | It seems to me that PMO Solan field is underperforming. As such the infrastructure they have in place is over spec'd and will be under utilised. They are looking at ways to use it and this could be of use to HUR reducing the initial investment $'s needed. PMO and HUR could help each other IMO | pounddreamer
05/2/2017 22:26 | Strathmore is a poorer quality reservoir than Solan and Solan is proving difficult, so Strathmore is an unknown (and possibly not brilliant) asset. All iirc, etc. | cinques
05/2/2017 20:43 | Hi cash, Agree your idea of Strathmore disposal , with a twist : rather than ask for cash (which PMO's bondholdermasters might not welcome), how about swapping for their licence covering part of Lincoln ? The advantage of this is the likely asymmetry of information : I've got to believe that Dr T has a better handle than PMO on the likely respective value of each and can drive a more informed deal in consequence ! Discl,: Idea mooted on the lse board, where there's also some pretty 'exuberant' talk about prospective eps and hence share price values. Lots and lots of chickens being counted at the moment ;-> ATB | extrader
05/2/2017 19:51 | How many holes would Strathmore require to prove it up properly? | davidblack
05/2/2017 18:48 | Cash Couldn't agree more | geordy2
05/2/2017 16:57 | Gibso,Agreed. PMO was always going to be a candidate for hur to deal with at some point. As a former PMO holder (via the Encore all share deal), they have a reasonable bunch of assets. Some mediocre some very good. But they are stuck in pre-2014 cost environment. Just look at the appalling costs of Solan. It'll take time to undo that cost millstone in a higher price environment.A deal on EPS production looks interesting, but we have to consider the consequences. The problem I have is what you clearly point out - the bondholders call the shots over there, not shareholders. It took the best part of a year to come to a deal with that shower. What's worse - bondholders will have say on major capex plans and perhaps enough power to be a drag on PMO and it's partners. Put simply - if HUR were to entertain a deal with them, they better get water-tight guarantees on timelines backed by penalties etc.We could simplify things by selling them Strathmore and taking a direct injection of cash. That's my prefered option. Strathmore is a better fit for them than us. Use the sale proceeds to go drill Warwick and other prospects etc, which are strategically more valuable for HUR.The EPS will happen regardless PMO. Investors must question whether they want to do this independently or with the shadow of PMO & its bondholders hanging about them. For some reason, I don't like the idea of becoming RKH mark2. 05/2/2017 15:12 | HUR shouldn't touch PMO with a barge pole , unless firesale but PMO is heavily controlled by debtors . | gibso6767
05/2/2017 15:02 | Hur is not an upstart ... its carefully and imaginatively run PMO is the oil major that never was and never will be | idleduck
05/2/2017 10:54 | I really like the phrase, "independent upstart Hurricane". | f1araway
05/2/2017 10:46 | Hurricane will probably 'blow' pmo away :) | gregpeck7

05/2/2017 03:12 | I know it's not too late to cancel the EPS FPSO, but I'd imagine it's Strathmore that TD has his eyes on rather than Lancaster. | oilretire
04/2/2017 23:45 | That's subsea tank btw | zztop
04/2/2017 23:44 | How big is the subsequent tank?If hurricane gets involved in a share agreement we may need a bigger tank and boat! | zztop
04/2/2017 20:45 | Telegraph Mr Durrant said Premier plans to use the huge infrastructure at its Solan project to lock in deals with oil producers working in adjacent oil fields. “We’ll be talking to everyone else in the area,” Mr Durrant said. Premier plans to begin discussions with Chrysaor, the private equity- backed explorer which last week became the North Sea’s largest independent oil firm after snapping up $3bn worth of assets from Shell. Chrysaor and independent upstart Hurricane both operate within 10 miles of Solan’s subsea storage tank and a shuttle tanker for oil which Premier uses instead of expensive pipelines. The drive to lower costs by sharing installations has emerged as a key recommendation of the Government in a bid to extend the life of the North Sea. | laserdisc
