That's not exactly news zztop! HUR has always said the EPS would need funding at the right time. By then there will be so much oil proved up that it's hard not to imagine majors "knocking the stands over" in a bid to claim their seat at the table. In the podcast Stobie all but said a major would get involved before donning his "conservative CFO hat". That's how it sounded to me.

I think what knocked the share price today was the word "funding" it was mentioned in the podcast....

Some posts today telling me to chill out as I watch the best part of £4,000 disappear in the space of a few hours, easy to say when it's not your money...

I am not exactly a newbie on the block however so I can handle it, I am here for Lincoln and Halifax plus the farm-in plus whatever else is in the pipeline as one way or the other, this is going to be a life changing event for me...

That said, I wish I had a tenner for every time I have seen comments about chill, everything's fine, it's MM's doing this or someone else doing that and in fact, it turns out that those in the know have got out leaving the poor saps behind to reflect on and rue their losses (today's example PANR which may even have contributed to the decline here today). If I had a tenner every time, I would be a millionaire and wouldn't need to bother investing at all...

Like I said, I am very much hoping that this is not the case as I have a sizeable amount invested here (for me) but with the boss being on the rig this weekend, I found the lack of commentary re Lincoln yesterday a little disturbing (and I am clearly not the only one who thought that) as I am sure that they would have liked to have trumpeted success from the highest mountain available...

We've already had great news on Lancaster, here's hoping for some more good news, very soon....

@ poundreamer. My view is 55p to 75p mid next year unless we are in takeover mode.First oil production in 1H2019 may well see us over the £ barrier but depends on how much we have given away in the interim. After that depends on how much and how quickly we can pump the black stuff and poo at that time.Stobie said today they can make good money at $60 bl so that's a pointer to future earnings.I'd like to see min 100k bopd 12 to 18 months from first main oil production, preferably from EPS being up and running.. You can play around with figures on spreadsheets but our first part is proving oil is there, how much oil there is, can it be produced and how cheaply..Currently I'd say that if we hit 100k bopd with oil 70-80US, no further dilution and a decent reserves, I'm hoping north of £3 and I'm being conservative., but I do not think we will get to the point of developing the field to its full potential..

For the record Hudleston's shares have been held under the company names, Taheh International and Matopos Holdings and he has been around since way before the AIM float in 2014. Hurricane has been cracking at Lancaster since 2005.I see no evidence that Hudleston has been offloading lately. He seemed to be taking great pleasure in dumping them at the lows a year ago when it was just me and a few regulars hanging on for grim death and accumulating (as was Crystal Amber in great numbers).

I'm going to be a net buyer over the next few months, so I look forward to the share price dropping.

When I am invested for the longer term, I don't call it a bad day when the share price drops a little bit. I only call it a bad day if something has gone wrong operationally.

Anybody who claims to be a long term investor but worries about a penny or two coming off the share price either has too many CFDs or spreadbets, and/or needs to rethink their strategy.

its actually 'lunchwood nominess limited', for james huddlestones co. he has 37,676,412 shs left as of 17th nov....

with there being 1.2b shs in float, once he goes sub 3pc which is 36m shs, he wont need to rns any sales...

I agree Gary. If they don't get poo more stable soon, then I recon in 2 or 3 years time it's going to rocket because of all the underinvestment in bringing new reserves forward. Would be pretty nice timing for HUR!

Lucky guy! You definitely can't blame him, I guess we'd all do the same although personally I'd want plenty left to go forward from here.
Still annoying though.
I'm sure nervousness over poo must have a lot to do with this too, although that seems a fairly short term view to take if you ask me, particularly since we're not even producing yet and not likely to for at least a year.

Hopefully that's the end of the day traders and shareholders scared of by the drop in the oil price plus MMs tree shake .Back to normal Wednesday or Thursday .The talk is that the oil market with out a deal will balance it's self out by the middle of next year which suits us as costs have drop considerable.

he's s guy who bought something like 100m shs around 10p area, and has been selling as the price has risen ever since into highs.... fair doo's cant blame hhim. lol i think he has 37m shs left, but id assume he'd not want to clear out totally as i feel he'd want some left for lincoln and halifax..... if we get good lincoln news ithink we'll get a whoosh into 60's (and huddlestone continue to sell).... no one person is bigger than the share price . :-)

Thanks for that, I'm sure you're right and yes, I remember the pre Lancaster drop well. This is definitely reminiscent of that.
Who is this Huddleston who is selling lots of shares?

pre initial successful lancaster news, the share price was 31p down to 24p in a week...... i wionder how many ppl were flushed out on that big % drop, only to then see a 65pc rise the next day...... if it was bad news leaked, i think the vols would have rocketed, but it appears to me oil sympathy, perhaps a tad of huddleston, and mm's taking advantage too....cheers
