28/11/2016 20:21 | Stril Polar on its way to Port of SCRABSTER will arrive 10pm we have had a couple of vists here in August when using normand arctic on drilling horizontal, quite a few contractors for the offshore and subsea sector at scrabster | laserdisc
28/11/2016 19:39 | Thanks jacks I had another read of the 20th oct rns its really good all this news flow It is expected that the farmout process will recommence towards the end of the year once the Lancaster 7 Wells data has been fully analysed. big players must be in the mix here | laserdisc
28/11/2016 19:28 | That's a good question gibso. If they were allocating shares in lieu of cash to Transocean they would have had to declare that but if they are simply running up a bill they wouldn't. laserdisc - The £43m allocated from the Fundraising appears to be for just two wells i.e. Lincoln and Halifax. RNS Number : 0966N Hurricane Energy PLC 20 October 2016 ‘ Use of proceeds The amount of approximately £43m in relation to further drilling to delineate the Greater Lancaster area assumes that Hurricane exercises its option under the Rig Contract Amendments by 21 November 2016 to use the Rig to drill a back-to-back well on Warwick or another Rona Ridge prospect which has a risk profile no worse than that of Warwick. If the Company does not exercise this option, and instead drills the second well between April and September 2017, there may be additional costs involved in securing a new rig.’ | jacks13
28/11/2016 18:45 | we must of got a good deal with transocean, if 3rd drill exercised does that mean the £70m already raised covers the cost of a warwick drill | laserdisc
28/11/2016 18:17 | Thanks Jacks13, I missed the last part of that. It appears there is an option for a third well contingent on the 2nd drill going to plan. I stand corrected. | prefab
28/11/2016 18:17 | From Malcy: Hurricane Energy HUR has exercised the option over the Transocean Spitsbergen drilling rig in readiness for moving to the Halifax well on the newly acquired P2308 licence. This well is hoping to prove the north eastern extension of the Lancaster field and will move there when the current well is complete. BH | bloodhound
28/11/2016 18:10 | RNS Number : 0966N Hurricane Energy PLC 20 October 2016 * [a]n option to drill one well on the prospect , which the Company exercised on 19 October 2016 (Lincoln) * a further option to drill one well in the West of area (which includes Warwick ), which the Company may exercise at any time up to 21 November 2016 (Halifax); and * subject to Transocean's agreement, an option to drill a further well in the West of area, which the Company may exercise if it exercises its further option referred to above to drill a well in the West of area, and which is exercisable within 21 days following the commencement of that well. That looks like three wells to me. | jacks13
28/11/2016 17:58 | No, we're contracted for 2 drills - Lincoln + Another (that now being Halifax), Warwick looks to have been put on the back burner for now. The 21 days refer to the option to drill another well in addition to Lincoln. Trice will have been after Halifax for a while hence the Warwick or 'another' caveat in the placing RNS - I don't imagine Warwick was ever the first choice drill, just a contingent (that's not to say there isn't plenty of oil there). There's a grander scheme of things in Trices mind I believe and hope. | prefab
28/11/2016 17:23 | Hur may drill Warwick following the Halifax spud as they appear to have an option which will be exercisable within 21 days of commencement of drilling (rns 0966N 20th October 2016. | rybelick10
28/11/2016 16:31 | Like Hurricanes latest Tweet: Heads of Terms for the Aoka Mizu FPSO signed in Gdansk. Another brick in the EPS wall. | kaytom
28/11/2016 16:20 | As our current drilling campaign continues to assess the full regional potential of our acreage, this Agreement is another important milestone in our efforts to move Lancaster towards production, creating value for our shareholders and for the UK." | laserdisc
28/11/2016 16:17 | Dr t moves like lightening. No hanging about. He is totally focussed. In response to Bloodhound, I must admit that as a pessimist, I possibly and hopefully unjustly read something into this morning's RNS where it said: " The Halifax well will be drilled after completion of the Lincoln well. A further announcement will be made once the Halifax well has been spudded." I would have been more comfortable if it had said that an RNS would be issued detailing the findings on completion of Lincoln. Moving onto Halifax spudding for the RNS implied to me that Lincoln wasn't looking as good as expected. Hopefully I am wrong but after 13-14 years in oilers, I know that it is best not to assume success until it is presented in writing. This is my biggest investment and so I really want and need it to come good all the way but as Bloodhound says, there will always be risk. Fingers crossed. | the guardian
28/11/2016 16:12 | Just been watching/looking at Bluewater on YouTube. It's very impressive! | rayrac
28/11/2016 15:59 | "The Aoka Mizu is designed and suitable to operate in extreme harsh environmental conditions, due to highly strengthened and reinforced hull structure throughout. " hxxp://www.polandats Not sure it'll need a lot of work done on it? It's not as if it's been cold stacked for a few years.... Sounds the ideal candidate | thegreatgeraldo
28/11/2016 15:54 | Stril polar now on its way back to Aberdeen and since August AOKA-MIZU has been in port @ the Gdansk shipyard | laserdisc
