Think Bernstein was right though ...if they had all those billions of recoverable then by now Rodney we'd all be millionaires.Oil price frank peaked at over $130 currently $93..I think I can refer to that as short term weakness although it is up on 12 months still. I see it recovering and staying over $100.

Yep it's the "according to plan" bit that is the issue there..and the fact it's six years ago!As to idea..thanks for sharing. I'd be surprised if there was firm commitment to well 8 without board announcing it and permits in place.

Things went so far from plan that the Bondholders nearly, very nearly, got the company for nothing.

sheep; SERIOUSLY!!! That article was from 2015 - estimated recoverable reserves have been reduced by over 75% since then. The share price was over 50p at that time

As we speak Brent is trading at $93bbl.

That is not weak.

It is strong.

Just not as strong as it has been and will shortly be again.

If we could have promised this indecisive, bordering on inept HUR BoD, 3 years ago when oil was sub $40 bbl that they would have oil at $93 bbl today do you not think that may have changed things?

My sources are telling me that in a couple of weeks HUR will reveal their future plans which will involve drilling a new P8 well on the Lancaster field.

I am slightly underwater but not distressed in the slightest.

The shares are worth far more than 7p.

The true value will be shown at some point.

Hurricane has a lot of private investors who are probably experiencing levels of distress in recent risk asset sell off ..this stock is still up multiples over a year or so so could just be some general nervousness and move to liquidity. The short term weakness in oil and lack of outlook from company likely compounding general weak sentiment.Results should be before the end of the month with update on strategy and also we have the routine maintenance coming up shortly...be glad to have that done and out of the way..previously has improved production post maintenance..water cut down and production up. I doubt anything is wrong apart from market jitters and a bit of boredom.The executives having seen well six and the oil price deliver for them now need to deliver a value enhancing plan to shareholders or expect shareholders to wonder whether they should be in position much longer. There is increasingly better returns sitting on cash, however i rather think shareholders would like to see the cash go to work.

If people are shorting they are doing so via spread bets which you don't see as daily market trades on advfn.

The sells that appear on advfn are just straight sells.
