this guy usually gets it right. goldman sachs hold their 2023 oil $120 - 4130 forecast. current gas price is $450 a barrel oil equivalent. europe industry will switch from gas to oil wherever possible. oil supply pressure will increase

koob. hur forecast 2023 average 7700 bpd. and at 100 oil all 2024 likely still economic, into 2025. plus $19 mill is held in escrow. with oil in tanks i think genuine likely $180 mill cash less epl by end 2022, say $160 mill, say £130 mill, say 6.6p a share. then add $120 mill for 2023 alone so +4.5p a share so 11p by end 2023. add to that epl being used for p8 or something else so a valuable freebee

Looking at year end cash 2022.We have maintenance shut down coming up so offload push back to early Oct should then be another offload early Dec.Looking at tax treatment for last two offloads it seems the burden on Hurricane from EPL is somewhat mitigated. So my current estimate would be circa $125m or £107m or 5.4p per share 31/12/22. With some oil in the tank.Company now estimating continued production through 2023 into 2024..taking $100 and average of 7000 bopd for 2023 and taking EPL (might not be required?) should be over $80m clean cash next year..so year end 2023 $200m or £171m or about 8.7p per share.Lots of variables and obviously we are hoping the company do not sit on their hands. But it gives the scale of opportunity for someone with production and further near term production funding to acquire a cash cow with serious tax losses that could fund development and mitigate future taxation on earnings. If the board can't come up with an value enhancing plan then they deserve to be on the receiving end of a bid. I would guess somewhere between 12p and 15p rather difficult to defend right now.All opinion and reasoned guesses..dyor.

There are companies on the market with high mcap, debts and not making any profits. Hurricane has a mcap just right right now and any news about drilling or a corporate action will lift the share price to double digits. It is not the same company as it was when debt was exceeding 200m. No debt man. Keep the funds ready and calm.

"Tories rush to drill for more oil in North Sea"

Heading up the A1 in the Bentley, fully equipped with Bates' Black and Decker, Rupert and Sebastian thought it would be quite jolly to bring some oil back for the struggling staff on the estate.

Brent crude futures climbed to $103 per barrel on Monday, after a 4.4% gain last week, as investors balance supply-side issues against fears that a prolonged global economic slowdown will hurt fuel demand. Last week, Saudi Arabia flagged possible OPEC+ production cuts to stabilize volatile markets, a move supported by Congo and Libya. Violent clashes between rival militias in Libya's capital stoked fears of further disruption to oil flows, and interruptions in a key export terminal for crude in Kazakhstan dragged on. Meanwhile, US-Iran nuclear negotiations will drag on into next month, slashing expectations of an imminent return of Iranian oil exports.

TODAY - HUR has $123 mill cash (if next offload $100 Brent). If Brent $110, it has $124.5 mill.
AT NEXT OFFLOAD (Oct) - HUR will have $138 mill. If Brent $110 for cargo, it will have $141 mill.
AT DEC OFFLOAD (Dec) - add $30 mill if Brent $100 achieved, add $33 mill if Brent $110 achieved.
SO DEC 22 - HUR will have cash $168 mill - $174 mill (if Brent $100 -$110)
DEC 31 22 - add $10 mill for oil in AM tanks = $178 to $184 mill
$178 to $184 mill = 7.5p to 7.8p a share (today $1 = 85p)

Watching cricket test matches on tv helps me think clearly - it's the gentle pace
HUR's EPL liability (a current reality) is NOT factored in
