If CA are to gain any sort of control or even influence, they must have a plan that is more appealing to equity than the BoD’s restructuring plan. Lincoln must be the low hanging fruit?

We don’t even know what the BoD’s restructuring plan is in terms of drill bit activity. HUR’s update on 2nd March said that ‘considering various options including...’ and then listed the proposed Lancaster side track and water injection options.

Perhaps Lincoln is now back on the table and HUR/CA talking again?

An AGM will be due after finals or could call for general meeting to table resolutions around the composition of the board. Maybe clear out some dead wood and inject some new thinking on how best to exploit what value there is for shareholders. It might well be a meeting will be called fairly soon to approve restructuring of the CB debt , I'd imagine there should be rather more information available by then ..but who knows. That might be a time to challenge, if the package is voted down there will need to be change.

This is being lined up for a highly dilutive restructuring in favour of the bondholders with the company dragging timelines on delivering information and precious little chance of challenging their latest limited assumptions. Holders will be presented a fait accompli to agree such a restructuring likely around the AM decision..ie can't commit to AM extension without restructuring. Once they get that done expect share options for the boys and improving picture of possibilities.They need to remember they need shareholder approval.

CA have enough shares to call an EGM and put forward resolutions.I can only assume they currently don't have enough equity on board with them to force through any resolutions.My opinion is that CA or associated parties are currently buying equity to do just that.

Thank goodness I got out a few years ago this looks like a company that is fighting for survival to much debt and lower oil volumes being pumpedSo unless a white knight comes alongI think it's sadly doomed to failure

An OGA staff member - Malcolm Pye, who was an OGA geologist - expressed serious concerns about the assets Hurricane Energy were so bullish about.

Dr T complained about him, he was asked to resign and his concerns not taken seriously.

On the face of it, OGA's conduct isn't above reproach, either.

Don't forget the OGA will be encouraging HUR to maximise oil production even at the expense of the company & its shareholders. They're not on "our" side.

Distinguishing between fraud and incompetence is difficult. The oil industry has a heavy dose of both. Either folk take advantage of widespread lack of understanding or it is just lack of understanding itself. Yet it just repeats like a terrible film.
